I went to vizzed this morning, and I saw that I had to login. I tried logging in, and it said:

"Error - Couldnt log in. Either you didn't enter the correct username or you typed the wrong password for the username. Click here to go to the board, or wait to get redirected."

I thought my profile was banned or something until I looked down and saw that 0 users were in the rgr and the board. It only had 500+ guests on the site.

Anyone have a reason why this happened? I think it might have been a huge server glitch where logins might have been disabled for everyone and Davideo7 had to fix it.

If you had looked at the board stats, you would have seen that the userlist had been wiped, as well as all forums. Probably one of the servers crashed (again).

silverthundr : I looked around all of the board I could access as a guest, but it was just empty. I did have a history result with a link I could use to access the "Help / Comment & Suggestion / Opinion" forum. No threads would show, no forums would show, no users could sign in, even Davideo7 couldn't!

But atleast it was fixed when I came back hours later.

The website has had server problems where there were shut downs and server strain, but I think this is one of the first times the server would have a crash. Let me quote a sentence from a Obolongs episode:

"If it happens once, it's gonna happen again."

That quote might be not to be taken seriously, as it might not happen again unless something occurs.

Test Round 1-
My regular account said I don't exist when I try to log in. I can't reset my password since I didn't "exist." My backup account did the same thing. I registered a third account, got the confirm email, and filled out the info. But when I tried to log in, it said the account didn't exist.
And to top it all off, the Memberlist was blank. David wasn't even there. I had never heard anything about an update or transfer so I was kinda lost.
Note- Re-regs are typically not allowed and can result in a ban. I re-regged in this situation to test if the site would accept a new member. That could have meant that the entire userbase was wiped, but new users were allowed. That theory was wrong.

Test Round 2-
The forums still existed, but I needed the URL to get at them since the links were gone from the Index. Restricted Forums were still restricted. For example, the Underground is always restricted to guests-

About Us and Help Center appeared intact. The RGR and VGR pages were all good, but I couldn't get the RGR Plugin GBA games to load. My Java was outdated, so I couldn't test the other games.

Test Round 3-
This particularly amused me. TdV stats were still displayed even though the usernames were missing. I didn't expect that given that the forums didn't "exist."

I emailed all of that info to David. He sent me this reply-

"Sorry, the site was having errors all morning. It's fixed now and there shouldn't be any lost data."

That's pretty much it. Site errors. Nothing catastrophic

This is not the only time this has happened. It's been doing this for at least 3 days I've heard form users. Yesterday I even encountered this. I went to face book to see if others were having the same problems and sure enough others were having the same problem.

If something happens like this again it's a best thing to check our vizzed account on face book to see if others have the same errors. You can find this info by looking at comments at the most recent vizzed post.

Note most likely Google Chrome will not be able to access the site when it's like this. Firefox on the other hand will allow you to access this site when this bug is happening. I have no idea what IE does since I do not have IE.
