Basically the point of this position is that you're in charge of the newbies of this site.
Your duties include: -Welcoming every single member that introduces themself with a warm welcome and offering help with the board if they need it -Helping new members out with anything that they may need help with -If you see a member online a lot but hasn't posted, maybe send them a friendly PM encouraging them to post (you can create a PM message and re-use it for everyone you pm if you want) So basically you're in charge of the new members and sorta in charge of getting them to post, and in charge of welcoming them. Anyone interested, please post in this thread why you think you're qualified.

Heh. I can "try out" as well, even though I am not a trusted member, I am familiar with almost all aspects of the board, I have not posted anything recently due to being over-busy with other activities, but that shall change now that Swimming is done. I am also familiar with the administration panels and moderator powers due to being one or the other in three other web boards. |

Ziggy, Neyro and DarkHyren all seem to be well-established members that could definitely manage it. I'd think we'd want someone of at least trusted status for the job, and also someone who's been a member for a fair amount of time.

If you're going to add a NEW mod: Ziggy/Neyro
I think I'd be qualified to take the position of a moderator of newcomers, as well as this General Chat. I have been here for nearly 4 years, and I'd love to see this place get more and more popular. While my activity was low lately, it was because I had to study for exams. I now have a ton of free time and I'll be available about 75 hours a week, even more depending on the week's activities. I'll monitor every single new and promising member that I possibly can, and I'll help bring back activity to users that have been idle for a few days or weeks. I can also bring in a large group of new members by reaching out both on the internet and statewide. I'll be available at almost any given moment and I'll be able to welcome every member that comes in if I get this position. Hopefully I'll be considered, because I intend to be even more active on the board. Thanks for your time, Dave.

Layout Created By well, who doesn't want to see more activity, especially since we broke the record for most users online at once earlier today . sadly though, it happened when I was in school (between 7-8 am EST), but I managed to catch 10 users when i was on after getting home
bringing in new members is always nice, but some people aren't a great fit for this board. I'd like to ask some of my friends to check the board out, but most of them aren't a good fit. not everyone was meant to be a part checking on idle users is important, but only ones that really started to become a part of the community (as in, posted in more than the newbie forum and gyr forum). unfortunately, there are a lot of idle users because many people joined only for the games and or roms. really, it is important to make newbies feel welcome more than anything else (feels like an election here with speeches and everything, lol) . sadly though, it happened when I was in school (between 7-8 am EST), but I managed to catch 10 users when i was on after getting home
