I'll admit that Sonic 1 has some good soundtracks in the game, but I'll have to say that Spring Yard and Star Light Zone are the top two in my opinion.

Am I the only one who really loves good ol' classic Green Hill Zone? I enjoy the tune so much that I made my own digital remake to the theme a while back. To me, Green Hill is the icon for the Sonic franchise as far as levels and level themes go. When I think Sonic, that's what my mind goes to.

The soundtrack for the whole game is pretty awesome so picking one that stands out from the rest is rather difficult in my own personal opinion. With that though I will have to say that I actually like the Scrap Brain the most followed closely by Star Light zone...

Well, as all the other people here said... It's hard to pick songs because there are many good songs.
