I would probably have to say either Metal Gear Solid or Dynasty Warriors, they're both great series, though I do not think I would be able to pick one to be the best.

All I really have to say is pokemon is still to this day making games,tv shows, and trading cards pokemon is one franchise that has held it spot as one of the best gaming franchises of all time. 

Definetly Zelda. It's an Adventure, and it's just overall magical.
Right up there with them is Metal Gear, and Final Fantasy. Those are my favorites.... There all just so magical, and Amazing.

My favorite game series is Castlevania. I have played EVERY game in the series, all the spin offs (Though there arent many) and beat the majority of the games. My knowledge of Castlevania is second to nuns. (And nuns know their Castlevania)

metroid. Obviously I love everything from metroid. The only things I'm kind a missing to determine if I am a true Metroid know-it-all is statues and figurines.

I like Pokemon the most. Either that or Mario.

I've got three, and they are all amazing.

1. Legend of Zelda. The Legend of Zelda series really helped to spark some of my creative gifts, really taking me on a journey into the realm of my own imagination. From 2D titles to the 3D ones, I've always been captivated by the amount of thought and effort put into making these games great, and it has really made me into the story-teller I am. It's also helped define the shape of my personality, as Link's heroism and willing to risk anything to save Princess Zelda really transcends into the way I think and how I respect women. Definitely an excellent series.

2. Assassin's Creed. I discovered the Assassin's Creed series in 2010 when my family bought Assassin's Creed 2. I lived in an apartment away from them, but I found that my roommate had the first one, so I gave it a shot. Boy, was I in for a surprise. The level of detail put into these games is fantastic. Absolutely stunning graphics, an amazing storyline, and historically-accurate (barring the liberties they take for the sake of the game's story, of course), these games, to me, are the standard by which all gaming going forward is set. The game-play itself is pretty awesome, particularly because you can do so many things in transition to one another. Run from guards, knock a few people down, climb a building, air-assassinate some guards, run a little more and hide in a hay bale. This kind of stuff is awesome. And don't get me started on the Assassin's Creed 2 Trilogy. I usually am not a fan-boy about some things, but Ezio is such a well-crafted character, probably my favorite video game character of all time.

3. Battlefield. I was a Call of Duty player up until all of my friends bought Battlefield 3. Granted, I haven't played the games prior to Battlefield, but just from what I've played in 3 (and seen from Bad Company and Bad Company 2), this franchise is the cream of the crop when it comes to First Person Shooters. For one, the way they did their DLC was incredible. $50 for the entire pack, UP FRONT, so when the Map Pack or the Weapon Pack was ready to be released, all you had to do was download it. There was no $15 for 5 "new maps," 2 of them recycled from an old game (I'm looking at you, Modern Warfare 2). The story itself is incredible, and the graphics are tremendous. And the game play is so much fun. I especially love blowing up buildings or using C4 to blow up tanks when they're terrorizing our team (when I'm on chat with my friends, I start singing the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song when I'm up on a tank, for whatever reason. It started when I jumped off a cliff onto a tank and blew it up). There is much less "going solo" than in Call of Duty, and team work is encouraged much more than in its rival. I'm not planning on getting a PS4 or the next generation Xbox just yet, but Battlefield 4 is definitely an incentive to get them.

I dunno what my favorite franchise is... If I were to choose, I would choose Animal Crossing Mostly because, there is ALWAYS something to do in Animal Crossing, usually anyways. lol

Pokemon. It's a world full with new things to explore and new Pokemon. This series is awesome!!!

I would say Mario, because I grew up playing the franchise, and I like the gameplay. And Legend of Zelda is pretty much a close second with this poll. (Shame on those people who voted for Call of Duty) xD

Well it seems that there are video games franchise that got my attention like Mario and sonic yet I grew up with Pokemon so I choose that video game franchise as my final choice, Also Pokemon is addictive like Mario and sonic .

my favorite is donkey kong donkey kong country is second best million units nearest to mario it happens that storyline is king k rool send the kritters to steal banana hoard donkey kong talk to and send diddy kong to protect banana hoard from bad guys diddy fights bad guys but fail beat big guy krusha cranky enters the room and talks to donkey kong have a suprise for him donkey kong pissed off that kritters steal the banana hoard and take out and put diddy kong in a barrel donkey kong vowed he will tracked down kritters free diddy and destroy king k rool.

Legend of zelda for sure

My favorite video game franchise is Mario. I've been a Mario fan for 4 years now and I like Mario the most because Mario games are simple and the power-ups are very creative.

 I love a lot of game franchises, but, the one that most enthralls me, is the Fallout series. I have always had an obsession with a dystopic type of post-apocolyptic world. I also love RPG games. And raunchy, dark humor? Uhh! Love, love, love. This game gives me all of that and some more. It is a soul-sucking adventure that I just cannot ever get enough of. Two very close runners up to this title were Final Fantasy, even though they have apparently been on a creative hiatus for a long time now, and then the Elder Scrolls. Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim. Bethesda has a great RPG formula that I just adore.
