If I remember correctly, the first Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Red and I chose Bulbasaur as my stater. I always choose Grass types...

The first wild Pokemon I caught in the grasses was a Pidgey. I knew at some point I'd need the Fly ability so I decided to capture and keep it til it fully evolved.
