I have what is probably a silly question. I noticed, as I surfed around the site and also when I made posts, that some people have messages under their names like 'Affected by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome' or 'Affected by Trooperness'. I was curious about what the meaning behind this little messages were, so I dug around the site a bit and didn't find anything regarding them. So now I am posting here in hopes of either finding an explanation or a link that shows me all the possible messages and what each one means. Is there anyone out there with the information I desire?

Syndromes are based on posting. The more posts you make daily...the higher your syndrome will be. The least you post, you'll be stuck on "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" which is the lowest syndrome one could possibly get.

There's really no significance to it, it's just a posting feature.

The only real purpose behind them is that it can give people a goal. A lot of people decide to shoot for Official Post Spree Syndrome (100 posts in 24 hours). A few people decide to go for Ravering or Ravering +, but few people make it beyond that.

Just remember if you do try a post spree, post in lots of different forums and DO NOT SPAM. I got banned during my first post spree because I was posting too much in one forum AND my posts were short and crappy. Don't do that and you'll be fine

On a side note, post sprees are the best way to get recognized and as you get more recognized, you may start getting Trust Points from other members. 10 Trust Points will earn you the Trusted Member Rank (instead of plain old normal).

So lots of benefits are there. Have fun

Lol, I can barely imagine making 100 posts in a single day, let alone the amount it takes to reach Ravening or Ravening+. I don't think I could come up with enough to say to ever justify that many posts.

That being said, I think that is a neat little feature they added to this forum. It sounds likes something that gives people a fun little project from time to time! I don't know, maybe some time, when I have one of my mini three day vacations from work, I'll try a posting spree just to see how far I can get!
