how do i use a pc controler on snes games useing the vizzed emulatorim asking this because  i got a new controler (its an old controler but i just got it) it works fine with nes,gameboy,gbc and gba but not snes what do i do

catbert225 : In order to configure the SNES controls you need to push the ESC key to bring up the emulator options (with the game window open)

Then click the option for "Input" Then make sure your controller is in the back window and select "Set Keys" then follow the on-screen prompts.

Jordanv78 : how do i get it in the back window? also what is the back window if you need to know the controler is a sidewinder dual strike

catbert225 : Sorry that was a typo *Black area/window is what I mean. You should see it when you select "input" It should have keyboard/gamepad listed there.

The Microsoft Sidewinder pro should work ok. Especially if it's working with the other systems/emulators in the RGR.

my controler is a dual strike not an pro also how do i get it to be in the black box?

Like I wrote before.

Bring the game window up.

Hit the ESC button on your keyboard.

Click the grey button labeled "Config"

Then select "Input"

Then select "Set Keys" And follow the on-screen prompts.

That should be all you need to do.

Davideo7 : love the website so far, lots of childhood memories here. i even went to the store to buy myself a pc controller. thing about the controller is, it doesnt seem to work on some games. im finding it difficult to explain my problem but here i go. My problem is in Conkers Bad Fur Day. in the 1964 plug in, i can change the controls to my liking, i can use my pc controller perfectly with it, but that plug in has many more visual and sound problems than the Mupen64Plus. i want to use the Mupen64 plug in, but unlike the other one, i cant change the controls settings. Playing with the keyboard will be too much of a hassle, and i dont see the point in struggling if im trying to enjoy playing as my favorite red squirrel. im sorry for the long reply, but is there any way i can change the controls for the Mupen64 plug in. it says to double click to change the controls but it doesnt give me the meny no matter how many times i click. i tried playing with its default controls on my pc controller, but not only is it missing key features that i Need to actually play, the controls it has are also extremely uncomfortable. is their any way for me to fix my controls so that i can actually enjoy my game?

if not, can you help me in any way like adding the menu thing?

ive only been on this site for a few days, and so far im loving it, but unless i can get controls to work, i honestly cant see much of a point of playing, which means i might get off and never come back to this wonderful site ... please help

I'm sorry, I'm really trying not to be confused here, but it looks like you're just setting up keys to a computer. My PC controller (which is actually a PS3 controller with USB plugin) works great with N64 games, but I can't seem to make it work for NES. I always go to ESC/IMPUT but it only gives me the option for a keyboard... is this supposed to help? Again, I'm trying to understand it but somehow I'm still getting confused...

That's what I posted. If anyone could provide me a little extra help I'd appreciate it. Usually I'm not so confused with things like this but for some reason I'm just not getting this.... and the game I'm trying to play is Donkey Kong Country if that makes any difference.

I have a retrolink SNES USB controller. I was thinking maybe I could use it for GBC/GBA games too, but it's not letting me use it. Does anyone else know how to configure this controller for anything else but SNES games?

Can this work with say an Xbox controller? If so how?
