I've come across a looming problem, which I want to make aware of to any admin that can help with this sort of problem.
I read this, quote "When playing the games on Vizzed, you are "borrowing" a digital copy of each game and will not have the ability to download the game to your machine."
The problem is, I am sitting here, with a copy of the Panel De Pon English hack. When I played the game on the RGR plug in, it happened to save a copy of the ROM on my computer, in a folder I found on my computer.
I'm sure, in reasonable hands, this problem isn't much of an issue. Someone with good morale would head over and delete said ROM when done. In reckless hands, this exploit could be used to upload to other websites, sent to other people, or worse yet, attempt to sell the ROM image. This is a serious piracy issue that may be a problem later on in the life of this website. I do, in fact, have a screen shot of the ROM loading on an emulator just fine, as well as a screen shot of where the ROMs are located, as well as a picture of the ZSNES module of RGR showing two choices of ROMs for loading. I have the ROM available to be linked, to show that I do, in fact, have the original ROM copy.
For the safety of the website, I have fully disclosed these images and link from public use. They are available on request of an admin.
If this is problematic, and you wish to disagree with this post, then do so. I am only making this post to spread a warning.
