I did not think this would happen, but I was sure that a lot of people were expecting this.  A giant 3DS console.  Here is the link for it:

The Nintendo 3DS XL seems extremely awesome. It isn't worth purchasing a Nintendo 3DS XL, if you already own a Nintendo 3DS. I may ask my uncle to purchase one for my sister. She constantly wants to borrow my 3DS.

I would much rather have that than the current unit, and maybe then the 3D wouldn't be as hard on the eyes. Honestly for 200$ it seems like a better value than the current unit. I just don't have that much use for handhelds anymore.

I saw this on gamestop and I think it looks bad. I'm not against the 3ds, my little brother has one and it's sweet. But for $200 it's over priced.
when the screen gets bigger the quality gets lower. For 200 you could get a PS3 or a Wii.

I think it's nice that Nintendo is making this a second "flavor" instead of a redesign that would replace the original 3DS. If you're looking for a big screen and don't own a 3DS already, then this would be a good option. It's not going to actually replace the vanilla 3DS, so that's a good thing. It just provides another option for consumers to choose from when purchasing a 3DS!

How did I NOT see this?  Only good thing I see about this is the fact that hopefully the prices for the 3DS will die down I guess. I had an XL in the past and it didn't do anything special. I actually prefer the smaller ones

Incidentally this is also the poison you choose if you don't want a handheld that lasts for 3 hours on full charge with 3D!

I didn't buy a 3DS...I thought about it but the launch titles were so bad that I was just turned off. Now that there are some games I want to play on it, I have kinda shied away from purchasing it because I'm not impressed with the system itself. The screen has a lower resolution than I was hoping for, and the 3D isn't really that great. Add the fact that the battery life is horrible...all adds up to me not wanting to spend the money on it.

I'm excited to see what the screen looks like for the 3DS as maybe I will buy one since the value seems to be there in comparison to the original unit. If the screen is better, and the batter life is improved I might just purchase one.
