Where can a person get giveaway Pokémon?

Are 'giveaway Pokemon' something that is in the Pokemon Light Platinum game? I'm not completely understanding your question.

It is a Pokémon that are given to a trainer.

I believe he means the pokemon that are handed to you in game by the NPC's. Examples being, Growlithe, Miltank, and to an extent, I would count Zorua and Pichu, because they are found not captured or part of the storyline.

Like that.

Well then how and/or where are they? This thread still hasn't mentioned that.

I feel that since I have the ability to add a little to the topic, I'm going to say some of the 'free' pokemon in light platinum.



2nd gen starters- (totodile, cyndaquil, chikorita) talk to professor oak in the radio tower in central city after receiving pokedex.



3rd gen starters- (mudkip, treeko, torchic) talk to the npc in front of the computer on the top floor of the Inhore university.



4th gen starters- (turtwig, chimchar, piplup) talk to professor rowan in snowce. He well be sitting at a table in one of the houses.



5th gen starters- (... I cant remember how to spell their names) beat elite four and start lauren league.



elekid- above the lab in yellow town. (must use stairs)



Eevee egg- after beating team steam in esmerald city talk to the guy on the beach to receive egg.



larvitar- received from a hiker inside a house in Bramboch town.



Lapras- received in seanport city from a sailor in the house to the left of the pokemon center.



Dratini- received from a cool trainer inside the pokemon center in Dardusk town. ( Drifloon can also be obtained just outside the pokemon center from the guy sitting on the bench)



Spiritomb- obtained at the top of guardian tower after defeating team steam. (must talk to npc like normal)



riolu- obtained in enermy town from a cool trainer inside one of the houses.



Dieno- At Mt.Shuem agree with both of zero's questions to obtain. (zero is the guy with white/silver hair that stop's you some time on your way through the mountain)



Axew- received from a cool trainer inside one of the houses in Drakebreath city



zorua- received in the bitanical building in esmerald city.



rotom- obtained in Lendyn town from a npc in the house with a blue roof.







There may be more but that's all I have found and can remember.


Edit: Has the person below me said there is also a growlithe in central city and I found a miltank on route 405.

You got most of them right, but its worth noting that Deino is a one-time only deal, if you go in there without an open spot, you will not be able to come back and get it, so make sure you have an open spot in your party to receive deino before talking to Zero, and answer yes for both of his questions or he'll leave without giving you it.

There are some you missed, and i may not remember exactly where to get them, but i'll at the very least name the area you find them in, just start talking to people in those spots if thats the case.

Miltank - on route 405, in that little farm town where the snorlax are, Miltank is given to you by a farmer inside one of the houses.

Larvesta - In Flamerny Woods, one of the people will give you Larvesta when you talk to them.

Magby - In Flamerny City, a person who i believe was not inside a building will give you magby when you talk to them.

Beldum - In Ironnem City, I believe it was a scientist looking fellow outside a building that gives you Beldum when you talk to him.

There are also fossils which are given to you throughout the game, which can be returned to Groment City to receive the pokemon who the fossil is of. Since they are given to you by just talking to someone, I will list them all here that I know of.

Archen - In Mt Shuem, it was actually one of the hikers who you defeated in a pokemon battle. You have to talk to him again after beating him to receive the Sky Fossil, which can be returned to Groment City for the pokemon, Archen.

Cranidos & Shieldon - inside Groment Mines, there are plenty of miners to talk to. two of which will give you the head fossil and the shield fossil, which can be returned to Groment City for Cranidos and Shieldon, respectively.

Lileep - Inside Mt Zhery, I can't remember who it is, but someone you talk to inside there will give you the root fossil which can be returned for Lileep.

Aerodactyl & Omanyte - In Rocavely Mines, a VERY small area next to Rocavely City, you can talk to the miners there and two of them will give you the Predator fossil and the spiral fossil, which are returned to Groment for Aerodactyl and Omanyte, respectively.

Kabuto - In Mt Lauren, I can't remember who it is, but someone you talk to inside there will give you the shell fossil, which can be returned for Kabuto.
