I am getting lots of stuttering with certain n64 games and sometimes the emuulator crashes out and I can only use one of the 'drivers' offered to prevent crashing.

Even if I select 'without' chat box if I change emulator it reappears and takes up half of the screen.

I have had to give up playing my favorite game with the power boats on the n64 as I can't work out how to get it to play smoothly.

Welcome to the wonderful world of N64. It could be a ROM error or maybe something with your graphics card. Either one ends with "there's nothing that can really be done." Sorry about that.

Which emulator are you using? 1964 of Mupen64Plus? Also, how many games is this happening on?

As BNuge said, this is all dependent on your graphic card. Some users might have no problems with any games while others will have problems with many games.

Yeah, it kinda stinks. The N64 roms, and emulators are never really what you could consider as "stable" sometimes some games work great in Mupen and not 1964 and others the opposite is true. So I always tell people if one doesn't work, try the other. I'm sorry for the trouble.
