I found out about anime and what is was because when I was about 8 or 9 I stayed up late watching adult swim(Toonami)on cartoon network on a Saturday and Naurto and Dragonball z came on and I heard Tom(host of Toonami) say something about those shows being anime and I also read manga so I was familiar with anime.

Back when I was little my babysitter always watched inuyasha and I'd watch it with him and then I forgot all about anime till my friend here told me to watch one so then I started watching a bunch of anime and now it's all I do.

I normally find anime by asking my sister for reccommendations, she's farther into anime than I am, and she knows what's good or not. I always go for her when I want to watch something.

Honestly... my sister's made me watch the first 25 or so episodes of Naruto when it was on demand, when the show first came out in 2005 or so?

It would be either myself watching Pokemon or even osu! bringing me maps of openings with them restoring why I watched them. Yeah, it was osu!.

Sailor Moon got me into anime when it first hit America I was watching cartoon network it came on and I was hooked from there I watched DBZ, Gundam Z (I believe) Cardcaptor Saruka, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-oh I was really young at the time as I got older and Inuyasha came out and others and the age of dial up ended and DSL came into being I starting streaming anime on dozens of site watching hour after hour for days on end. So yeah just a little addicted but Sailor Moon is still my first anime and I still love it to this day.

dreamslongone : yu gi oh and DBZ are simply the best for anime, love those shows tremendously despite the constant repeated formulas they use.

My older brothers Asian girlfriend was really big into Anime/Manga and she turned me on to them.

I had a friend when I was like 8 who watched a lot of anime, and I think she showed me the Bleach series, and I thought it was kinda boring, but I ended up watching a whole bunch of different series after that!

Found Anime from Toonami, I'm sure almost everyone did.

Pokemon was one of the main reasons why I got into anime/manga/etc.

In fact, anime really fascinated me  when I was younger. I remember absolutely loving seeing stuff that looked like anime. Something about the animation style really caught my eye. It still does today.

Although, to be honest, I wasn't quite into anime back then as much as I am now, mainly because I didn't think I was old enough to watch most anime (and I was probably right lol).

Believe it or not even though I collected Pokemon cards first the first anime I found was Dragon Ball Z. My older brother had a VHS tape of it and I found it in the player and watched it. The episode was when they were on Namek and the Ginyu Force was fighting Gohan and Krillin and Vegeta. The episode was when the green guy died (Too lazy to look up the name) and it was Recoome's turn to face the three. How do I remember even though I was only about 5 or 6 years old? Well to be honest I have no idea but I never really saw a violent cartoon before so it was really interesting and sparked my little mind. Only about a year or 2 later I mentioned it to him and he pulled up all of the online episodes and we watched it. My second was my mother was actually into Sailor Moon and so I would watch it with her even though I only remember a few scenes even though I probably watched a few seasons total. And my third anime was finally Pokemon and Yugioh.

Watched Yu-gi-oh! and Pokemon as a kid, but didn't have a clue as to their origins. I actually got into anime after watching Naruto for a bit. I still didn't know it was anime, until one of my neighbors came over and showed me Fruits Basket. That was when I realized I liked anime, both shoujo and shonen.

Well that is an easy one . I watched Television  Yup . Mostly Cartoon Network . I ran into Naruto when  I woke up on night and saw it on Adult Swim  

My sister used to love anime; I would watch some TV shows with her, but I never got as interested in it as she was. I never got into any manga.

I watch anime on the T.V and YouTube. That the only thing that I can watch anime on.
