I am getting an error when I try to open this file.

This is the first time I've opened it since I made it, and it's not working, which I desperately need it to, as it's a project that's due tomorrow.

Try this.

If you can, open it as a read only document. Then copy everything inside it.

Failing that, you may want to try checking properties. I don't know how OpenOffice works, but it's possible that it flipped to read only without you wanting it to.

If neither works, then the file is almost certainly corrupted.
