Tied for 2nd place are Resident Evil and Metroid. The Resistance series has always been a favorite of mine, although the 3rd game's story was rather disappointing.

TimeSplitters was my absolute favorite back in the days of PS2. I had so much fun and spent so much time playing it. Smash Bros, Armored Core and CoD series are ones I enjoy a lot, too.
