I gotta say, I struggled the most with Gen 1. Took me over a year to beat the Champion in that game.

The only problems that I ever have really had with Pokémon games have been the Emerald Battle Frontier, which is very hard to get acceptable Pokémon for it. Also, for Leafgreen/ Firered, part of the Islands were surprisingly hard.

Every pokemon game i have played i always struggled near the end because of the elite 4 or something like that

I would say the PMD games, the last boss's hp is usually really high and so is their level (I would say the hp is over 9000 XD) I would say R/S/E too because they are a lot confusing and you have to find out where to go by yourself.
