I'm Prost, and I'm obviously new to Vizzed. I never know what to say in these "introduce yourself" things, so forgive me for the forthcoming babble. It seems like everybody else is just saying, "hi, I'm new and I like video games," but I figured I'd say a little more than that. I mean, it's kind of obvious that I like video games, right? That's why we're all here-- for the most part, anyway. So. Onwards.

I like a lot of terrible music, Foetus being one of my favorite bands. I read a lot--or at least, I used to--and I'm a big fan of fantasy, horror, and sci-fi novels. I like to draw and sing, though I'm not good at either, and I like watching dumb 80s cartoons and Top Gear. Robots are cool. I like bats, rats, cats, and dogs. I swear a lot more than is strictly necessary, but unfortunately I'm not able to do that on this site. Ah well. I'll get over it. I'm kind of awkward, so just keep that in mind if you want to talk to me. I also tend to get sarcastic, and that doesn't really translate well over the Internet, so if it seems like I'm being horribly rude to you, I'm probably just trying (and failing) to be funny because I'm feeling nervous. Sorry about that.

OK, now onto the stuff you might care about: I love Pokémon. I found my Fire Red cartridge about a week ago after not having seen it for years, and I've already got forty hours of new game play logged. I have never played Sonic or Mario or anything like that. When I was a kid, my parents were loathe to buy me any video games. I'm lucky I even got Fire Red, my only Pokémon game. So I may try out a few other retro games, but honestly, that's unlikely. I'm just here to make up for all of the Pokémon I missed growing up. So...yeah. Thus concludes my incredibly lengthy introduction.

I hope you have a great time here, which you probably will since this is pretty much the best site on the internet and I know you'll meet many new friends on here. :] Also, you say you haven't played Sonic or Mario? Then I highly recommend you to check out some Mario, Sonic and pretty much any other popular games on here~

Prost : Welcome to Vizzed fellow newbie. I must admit your introduction had me chuckling a bit. Im a man of sarcasm myself.

I am Pokemon fanatic also. Trust me you have a lot to catch up on. I wouldnt mind giving you a few tips if you'd like on any of them. I like to consider myself a pokemon veteran having played all of them from The first generation to generation 4. Havent had a chance at attempting Generation 5 yet but will do when I get the chance.

Considering you've played Pokemon Fire red already you may want to skip red and blue because the storyline is pretty much identical but without dark and steel types. But to get a feel for how it was I would definitely recommend starting with Pokemon yellow. It was easily the star of the generation 1 series. You even have Pikachu following you which was pretty cool. The animations are much more accurate as well.
