MVash: Current sales determine how well a system is doing, now past sales. And current sales show Xbox 360 almost doubling the PS3's. Of course, Wii doubles almost both of them combined.

For someone who doesn't have hundreds to blow, an Xbox 360 I think is perfect for only $200 and you get a free game. The $200 model may not come with a hardrive but you can buy one for $60 source:amazon (or just buy a 512 MB memory card if you don't need the hardrive for $30 source:amazon - but the Xbox 360 comes with one anyway).

The WiFi argument also doesn't justify the extremely costly price tag of the PS3. A lot of people don't have WiFi in their house and if they do, a lot of people have a router near their entertainment system and if neither of these 2 apply to someone, than they can purchase a WiFi adaptor for their Xbox 360 for $50 source:amazon

The only thing that really makes the PS3 worth the price is the Blu Ray player built in, that's what makes me want it. But for the average person, they can't afford a $1000+ HDTV and that's what you'd need to really enjoy the quality of the blu ray. For an average person though with an average TV, uneccesary to have a blu-ray player and not to mention the movies for it are like $20 - 25 on average.

Ok time for my opinion:

Anyone saying that PS3 has ever sold more than Xbox is obviously delusional, the PS3 has gotten awful sales and aren't getting any better.

Anyone buying the $200 Xbox is buying a crippled system and should just save up an extra 100 for the good version.

And the PS3 is actually completely worth the money considering the POTENTIAL power in the system, but no companies are trying to actually use all that power so meh.

(I personally prefer the PS3, but I wouldn't recommend it)

DM have you looked at the sales from this past year? The 360 and PS3 have sold about the same. I'm not saying Sony is jumping up and down going crazy with the amount of sales they are getting like Nintendo is, but they are currently doing alright. 12 million in the past year isn't horrible.

Davideo it can change week by week, there's really not a point at looking at week by week or even one month in most cases.

Edit: David 512 MB would be fine for saving games (for a while) but what about game patches and now game installs with the new Xbox Exp? Those aren't fitting on that.

That's to be expected. The red ring is driving people away from the 360 now. 17% of 360's get it and microsoft is being sued because of it

Awesome Bigbob, sometime in the next few months we'll put together a brain storm forum for the game and hopefully begin developing this game by spring (or whatever season that is for you but that would be about 3-4 months from now).

I really like this board but I could be in for a board change if It just made everything better. But I REALLY like the rpg and gaming and all that so yeah....

Well the new board would basically have everything this board has but more. So we wouldn't be losing anything and we would definitely not be losing posts, user profiles, stats, etc - I want to avoid a fresh start at all costs, it's bad for me, bad for the users and bad for search engine ranking.
