Allright, Everyone may think I'm a hardcore liberal nutjob.

I'm really not. I like being liberal because I don't agree with juding others.
But one thing I cannot tolerate is abortions.. They're entirely too common and it's a disgusting practice.

The ONLY cases abortions should be given an okay to is in a rape or incest situation, and even then I think it should be run through a court trial before it's given the ok.

The reason I feel this way is because this DOES hurt other people, It kills an innocent child and has the potential to hurt the mother.

The teen pregnancy rate in this country is insane, And while I agree not every girl who engages is sex with multiple partners before they are of a certain age are "s***s" but yes there ARE some "s***s".

And the fact is some people have lots of unprotected sex and eventually get pregnant and say "oops! Better get an abortion!" ... right?

NO! Its wrong.

Adoption is ALLWAYS an option, Abortion should be reserved for VERY serious situations and nothing more.

Thats the same as my stance has always been and will continue to be. So you can mark me down on the moderate list as well.

WOW Jin came out of the closet. Lol. That is pretty much the way I think about it too. I was adopted, so this topic is pretty major to me. Also, Jin mentioned it could harm the mother, I have heard that if someone has 2 abortions that they will be unable to have a baby after that, but I am not entirely sure about that.

Whether you like it or not, once the sperm hits the egg, a new life has been created, and assuming you're responsible for such actions taken.

If not, why is it so damn hard to get an adoption up? The girl is too young, she's not ready for it, so what, it's still almost entirely the girls problem for knowing such things could happen, and possibly not having safe sex, but for gods sake just put the child up for adoption instead of killing it.

But yes, if it is a case of "rape" or "incest" then yes, I'd agree to an extent that the girl should have more freedom for the outcome of the child.

Wasn't there already a thread on Abortion? Anyways, it was probably ruined with pointless arguements and what not lol. Anyways, I used to be 100% against abortion until I debated over it in another forum before I found out about this one. Now I agree with this. It took reading some flames directed at other people for me to change my mind before I posted what I thought back then and now I think that abortion should be allowed in some situations. But I also think it should have to go through court. I know it has been a privacy issue in some cases but I think someone's life is more important than someones privacy in this matter.

The thing is about bringing it through a court system is that it takes too long. By the time that the case is ruled, it'll be too late to have an abortion. =/

They can always come up with some system for it. It's not impossible but I see what your saying. I still think it needs to be handled differently. I don't like the thought of everyone who doesn't want their child just walking into a building and walking out with the child left behind and dead...

If you want to start on population control let's start with you.

Then lets go to you and then john, dave...that many of people wont make a difference. But if mass's of people have abortions..then just think of how much the population would decrease...

In some cases I think it alright, I mean even if they just didn't the baby I think its ok up until it starts to develop human traits..

At 12 weeks, a fetus can remember things. At about that time, a girl will just be finding out that she is pregnant. Also at that time, a brain is developing, a heartbeat can be heard, and they have ten fingers and toes.

But that does not mean I agree about not allowing girls to have abortions. :|
