Hello there!  I'm new, as you can probably see. I wasn't referred here by anybody, but I've already been made welcome. I stumbled upon this site after I felt a powerful need to play Pokémon after finding my (sadly) broken Game boy Color with the Silver Version cartridge still inside. I'm a graduating Senior, and I plan to go to college with my secret nerd self still intact. I love video games, and in girl standards I am most certainly a gamer, but I'm not obsessed enough with detail and level-grinding to really deserve that title.

I'm here more for the games than for anything else, but I like others and wish to help everyone have a good time while they're here. I think it's important that everyone smiles at least ONCE a day.

jlh : Thank you so much for being the first to respond! I hope it doesn't sound too cheesy when I say that I adore you right now, just because you happened to be the first to take time out of your day to talk to a silly young newbie such as myself. Somehow, I can't quite believe that your introduction thread was anything shy of amazing. Just a feeling I get. Oh, and thanks for the vote of confidence! I have some real-life friends that literally eat, breathe, and sleep video games, and hearing them go on and on about the most minuscule little aspects of a game makes me feel insecure about calling myself a "gamer".

laian : Don't worry about rambling. People that ramble are those that let others inside their head. I'm glad that my name reminds you of a character, though the name your thinking of is my user name's nickname. Midori can be translated from Japanese into Green, but I didn't know that when I first started shortening it. "Midoriko" is the name of the priestess in Inuyasha who sacrifices her life, and in doing so, creates the Jewel of Four Souls. Oh, now I'm rambling! Thank you for the warm welcome, and I will definitely ask questions... Now that I know how to post!
