I never been to a monster truck rally. I always watched them on television. I would like to go see at least one. My favorite monster truck is the Grave digger and oh yea the car crushing robot. Here are some links, and tell me if this is your idea of fun.

Those are pretty amazing! I usually don't watch that many Monster truck rallies, but this is really cool. I have a new love for a show to watch, and those are what I'll watch a bit more.

Hah, the Robosaurus is totally awesome. I remember seeing someone try to sell one on a pawn shop TV show (Pawn Stars), and I thought that it was pretty awesome.

Living in the UK I have not seen robosaurus.    
However as Santa Pod drag strip have a resident Monster truck 'Podzilla'.  I watch this sometimes when I go to events there.  It's normally doing jumps against another truck.  
Once a year they hold the UK Monster Truck Finals, at Santa Pod.  I've been to two, and have to admit seeing the freestyle stuff is amazing. Also when one year they had an old US style school bus to flatten.  Great to watch the trucks drive up the launch cars and fly onto it.     
Have also seen the odd crash, once Podzilla landed and one of the front wheels came off.    Lucky they always do the jumps towards the end of the arena, where there are no public, just a lot of high concrete barriers.  The wheel fell over before hitting them though.
