I could never complete reading quite a few books. The most recent one was Michael Chrichton's Next. I actually only have a few pages left because the story is about over, but I just forgot to complete it and haven't read it in such a long while that I would not remember most of what had happened anyways.

I remember reading Tom Sawyer books and never really bothered reading all the way. I looked through, and maybe browsed a few chapters and I didn't really like it. So I put the book down and never opened it again. Disappointing really.

I've tried to read Jekyll and Hyde a few times, but I can't even get through the first few pages. I've never got round to finishing The Da Vinci Code either, I always seem to give up on it at some point.

There were a few, come to think of it. I could never get past "The Hobbit", or the first couple chapters of Harry Potter. And the Lord Of the Rings books, I have not even tried to yet. And books that are really thick turn me away, unless a friend has recommended them, or they are really interesting looking

I greatly enjoy reading, so I tend to always finish books. There has only ever been one book that I started and didn't finish, and I can't remember the name of it. Even if I don't find a book to be incredibly interesting, I will finish it. The one that I didn't finish just never got interesting enough for me to even care. If I knew the name of the book, I might go back and try it again, but it will forever be the one book I never finished...

The Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne MacCaffrey. I wanted to like it, I really did... and I finished the first book, but the second... ugh, it just go so boring and dry and I just could not get into it. Loved her sci fi series though, which is ironic because I vastly prefer fantasy.

I got to page 2 of the lord of the rings before giving up, it was just dry.

I also switched to flicking through, as opposed to fully reading the bible and quaran when i realised what kind of stuff was in it, it never won my approval.

Books that I've never completed? That's probably about half the books I've tried to read.

I do it all the time, I start a book, get a couple chapters into it, then regardless of if I like it or not I never finish it. Catching fire has been sitting on my book self half read for a few months now

Bram Stoker's "Dracula."

I was reading it when I got too busy with school. I've tried reading it twice, but stopped both times. It's a good book, but I get so sidetracked with projects or books I need to read.

I can't remember if I finished "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte  a few years ago, but I would like to reread it sometime soon.

But both books have been packed away for when I move back to school. There, they'll sit on my bookshelf until dead week or finals week, depending on how the semester goes.

The Hobbit. My father wanted me to read it a few years ago, so I told him I would try it. I could never really get past the first few chapters.

For me it was the hunger games. I read the first 2 books and after seeing the movie and how violent the concept was, I never finished the 3rd book. The whole concept of youg children killing one another for a competition is violent and I don't like the concept at all. I think it would be better and different if it was adults doing this instead of young children.I hate it, so many did just for 1 lame person's victory. I never liked that kind of plot, so after seeing the movie, I never finished the 3rd book in the series.

There was a book called Tunnels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams, which I read the first half of, loved everything about it, then returned it to the library because I was moving, then picked it up again without realizing it was the same book and read it all the way through. Then I tried reading the second book, loved everything about it, then Summer came and I had to return it to my school library, halfway completed. I think the issue is how astoundingly massive the books are (I believe the first book is nearly 500 pages long). I'm a really slow reader and I don't read often so it takes me a month to go through a section (each book is divided into three sections). If they were just split into three separate books each or something, I wouldn't be so daunted to pick it up again.

Actually, now that I'm reminiscing, I really want to pick up the series again. I think a film is being made as well...

For me it was Rule of the Bone, it's a book about a teenager on drugs that lives his life. I honestly don't remember what it was about it's been so long.
