I think that I would go with South Park, because I have actually seen a few episodes with my friends that I thought were okay.

Simpsons can be pretty funny sometimes, but filled with a crapload of stupid

I like both but I have to go with South Park, as it fits my humor much better..... though if my dad was near, I rather be watching the Simpsons as it isn't as graphic and stuff.

The simpsons and south park are both pretty stupid and funny at the same time, and I can't stand them. At least I can watch The simpsons, I can't bare to watch a minute of South Park tbh

Both are great. But I like South Park more because I found more funny and it is more adult themed.

P.S. I am only 14 and my parents say I can watch it!

You should close this thread down, because I am pretty sure a vs b threads are now over. Sorry Jlh, but that's just what I heard, and yeah, this is an a versus b thread.

Instead of closing this, why don't you guys discuss WHY which one is better, or why you like one more than the other. There are a lot of two-sentence answers here, so let's see some paragraphs of reasoning.

Family guy I think you'd win because their always with something no matter what so I think family guy and stewie he like always plays with guns and stuff like that and peter would fart everywhere that's why i think family guy would win  

Now we have an a vs b vs c poll, these are okay. I picked family guy as the best, because it has way better characters, and the show is definitely funnier. It also doesn't show racism, or discrimination, 4 guys, one quagmire the perfert, Cleveland the black guy, Joe the cripple, and peter who is fat. Great show.

I actually love all of these cartoons, but I'm gonna have to go with South Park on this one.

Simpsons is an old favorite that I'll always love, but in recent years it seems its attempts at humor relating to current issues have been unimaginative and well...just not really funny.  The art is probably the best out of all of them, but even that doesn't live up to its glory years these days. 

Family Guy is funnier than Simpsons currently are, but the jokes are extremely blunt and not what I'd call clever in any way.  The music can be pretty good, though.  Not only are some well composed, but can also be very creative.  Their renditions of old musicals (road to Rhode Island) are also done well-as are their Star Wars episodes. 

South Park is just awesome.  While the artistic aspects are the weakest (except for some episodes involving backgrounds like Imagination Land) the humor and topical aspects are the strongest.  They have original music pertinent to the story, that's both funny and not without some musical merit.  Remember "Burn Down Hot Topic? or "Gay Fish?  Awesome!  Totally a great impersonation of a Cure/Smiths/Joy Division style as well as that Kanye West crap that fit the stories well.  And then there are the jokes.  They've actually addressed the other two within their own cartoons.  They've talked about how the Simpsons have been on for over 20 years and have taken up so many ideas "Simpson did it!" as well as talk some s*** about Family Guy using interchangeable jokes that do nothing to enrich the plot.  Whereas, there are longer, more clever conceptual jokes in South Park.  Remember the atheism episode where Cartman discovers intra rectal digestion?  The whole point of the episode was that if you totally denounce all religion, you end up a stupid atheist with a bunch of s*** coming out of your mouth.  I never would have seen that coming, but right at the end-Bam!  It was all one big point they were making, and I thought they did it cleverly.  And with episodes like Butters' Bottom b**** involving sting operations and entrapment, they expressed their views without preaching-and it was hilarious!  They just do the best job in relating news, culture and everyday life experiences in a way that's still relevant AND cleverly funny.
