It's only gonna get higher as we creep closer to Memorial Day. Usually that's the time when gas prices are highest. I'm worried that it will be over 5.50$ a gallon by then.

Paid $3.59 here in New Jersey yesterday.  It's pretty sad that is almost considered cheap with how the current trend is.  Judging by the others posted, seems to be the case...  Though, seeing the $8 tag someone posted makes me feel quite petty.

Here in the area of Anoka County Minnesota its running a average of $3.96 for 87 octane and closer to $4.16 for premium. Though if you go further south closer to Burnsville or east towards wisconsin the prices tend to go up.
Now what I don't understand is how it fluctuates so much from one neighborhood to the next? Price gouging? Government owned and operated then? Now how does society ie the citizens me, you, etc go about changing this and show others that we control the market, media, and whatever we want because we are the consumer and as a consumer we should control any and all influx in any market we see fit including petroleum products. Thats my rant sorry if it got a little off topic

Which is not to say that price gouging doesn't occur, because it does.

Wow. That's actually the price range where I live. Around where I live, which is upper Wisconsin, the regular Price for Gas is $3.90 average. So that's pretty ridiculous. Especially when the price is expected to be $5-$6 by Summer :|
