Have you ever hunted ducks? You can now with this duck hunt game!



How to play:

A dog jumps into a long bush bringing out ducks for you to shoot at, try to hit every one! Use the Nintendo Light Gun to aim and shoot the ducks and clay that pop out of the bush. The blue lines under the ducks shot indicates the required number of ducks to be shot down to progress to the next level, failure to do so ends the game and you get sent back to the title screen, shoot down as many ducks as you can, if you miss a duck, the dog laughs at you, don't you just hate that dog and want to shoot it?





Now, to start the review:



Although there is not any music except for the title screen and game start/over, the sounds are great, the simulation of shooting ducks, take a duck down, and you get to see the duck fall into the bush.



There isn't a story, other than to just shoot ducks and clay pigeons.



It is likely that you will play this again, keep shooting ducks!



The first 5 rounds are easy enough, but when you get further in the game, the goal line increases by 1, when you hit level 20, you have to shoot every duck down, otherwise, the game ends.



There are 3 different modes in this game:

GAME A - 1 DUCK

GAME B - 2 DUCKS

GAME C - CLAY SHOOT



Overall, this a good game, there is alot that this game has to offer, fun sounds, great graphics, gameplay, there is so much!

Duck Hunt was a great game back then. It still is a great game to play. Its so fun to play and try to go to the infamous Level 100 glitch level. Great game it is. Love playing it to this day.

I have reached level 23 on console before, I had to hold the gun right up to the screen to easily hit the ducks, clay piegon mode is harder than 2 ducks which is harder than 1 duck which is easier than 2 ducks which is easier than clay piegons, etc. I have other games to review, like SMB3 NES, Puyo Puyo NES, and more.

Edit: Another waste of Viz with less than 90 words! I hate it when that happens, you end up wasting biz that way, so make sure your posts are big in reviews.

Oh man, I remember when I was about 4 or 5, I used to watch my older cousin play this game so much it made me want to play it. I was so addicted to it I played for as a long as an hour.

Duck hunt is one of those games that will always remind me of the first day that I got my NES and was able to start playing. It's a fun game that's aged decently considering the fact that it uses a gun to shoot ducks

Jordanv78 : Thanks for the compliment. The thing is, it required a Light Gun, you won't be able to find a Light Gun nowadays, unless you look it up on Ebay. I hate whenever the dog laughs, it's like the dog is trolling or laughing at you even if you don't shoot enough ducks.

Well it's not quite as fun, but you can emulate the Zapper on some of the emulators.

I actually still own my Nintendo that I've owned as a child and everything still works. Even my zapper! You can actually find them at flea markets pretty easily and find them online as well. They aren't that hard to find. You just can't walk into a Game Stop or best buy and find one.

Lol it's a great review I enjoyed duck hunt when I was a kid, it was one of the games my grandma had to help me play though, it was fun shooting the little sucks.

crazycatpup : Unfortuantly, although rounds 1-99 can be completed (the game doesn't end), but round 100 known as round 0 is actually impossible to shoot all the ducks because:

1. The ducks don't pop out sometimes and the dog laughs out of nowhere.
2. The ducks are very hyper when at round 0 (don't believe that? Check on YouTube!),
and 3. Round 0 (infamous glitch level) is the kill screen where the game goes insanely nuts at speed when you get the killscreen in this.

There is a 0% chance that you will hit all ducks in the kill screen, unless you do it in 2 ducks.

If you do the killscreen on 2 ducks (check it on YouTube), instead of hyper ducks, they are slightly slower than level 1 duck speed, making it possible on emulators to reach 10 score loops (10 million).

I played Duck Hunt all the time from age two to six, it was one of my favorite games. The dog laughing at my misfortune didn't anger me, I used it as a motivational tool, that I can do better, and I got a fairly high score on it many times.

You know, all the times the dog laughed at my missed shots, I kinda hoped that they had made a mode where you can shoot the dog, until I was surfing the Internet in class one day and I came across Duck Hunt after playing it for a few years. As I played the game, I noticed it had a mode where you can shoot the dog. I played the Dog Hunt Mode and I was equipped with a mini-gun like weapon and kept killing dog after dog. I laughed at the thought of this mode and I said to myself, " Now I begin to see why they couldn't put this mode on the NES version of Duck Hunt".

I also found out the dog mode where you shoot dogs, you search "Duck hunt flash game" and BAM, you'll find the game. It's harder with the mouse, I use the Wii and the Wii-remote to play.
