It depends on what sort of RPG's you like to play.

But if you are looking for ones that can be off of vizzed, but still on the computer, go to get-your-rom.com they got some great ones there. It is actually a partner of vizzed board. I forgot whose it is though. I think it is JigSaw's.

thing1 : David and I both co-own it and have been since it started in 2008. It lost money because of a restructure to the site which caused it to loose 2/3's of its traffic. It's now pretty much back up to where it was before so it makes enough to cover server. I'll be working on it next week more upgrading search and fixing all the emulator pages on it.

The best rpg in here is I think Chrono Trigger . The story may be a bit hard to understand but when you get it , it has so much sense . this is the best rpg you can fing in vizzed . The best rpg ever is Chrono Cross , later on PS1

Have you thought about Sonic games or Mario games? Those are pretty good alternatives to Pokémon. I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops and some other game yesterday for my DS, and they both sucked for the DS, so I got Super Mario 64 for the DS. That was an epic game. Try it out on the Nintendo 64, eh?

You want a good rpg recommendation?  Take everyone's advise and play any final fantasy.  Seven was the best that they have here, but if you like strategy and tactics, go with final fantasy tactics or fire emblem.  Final fantasy has been a rpg for the ages.  It has the longest lifespan of all of the rpg's, minus a d&d one.  Dungeons & Dragons didn't have many good games put out so stay away from those ones.  If you have a computer that can handle high end games, there are a few d&d games out there that are worth more than their price.  One of these such games is Baldur's Gate.  Awesome game.  I loved it and the battle system was well defined.  Here on vizzed, I'd recommend their final fantasies and fire emblems.  Not much else out there in the way of rpg that isn't mmo.
