Need a new job? Look in the newspaper. There should be plenty of job openings that can come to your interest. Win the Lottery? Can happen, but very slim chance to win big though. My advice would be look forward and find a decent job with decent pay that you enjoy.

Totts : May I ask what kind of experience you have? Like what skills do you have so I know what kind of advice I need to give. I think pacman1755: is right, look in the newspaper in the classifieds. I am sure you will find something that you will enjoy doing.

Always try to look for experience if you don't have a lot on the resume.   Find a job that interests you, or even a company that you can grow inside.   As far as the lottery, well the best idea to have money is put some of your paycheck into a savings account, and maybe buy a ticket maybe once a week, or once every other week, but don't get too caught up in it or else your dream of having more money falls by the wayside.  And for happy people well this place is full of them!

First of all, if you prefer to be surrounded by happy people, then you need to give off the same vibe. Happy people generally don't want to hang with people who are always negative, because that just sours the mood. If you hate your life, then it is most likely because you are focusing too much on what you seek, ignoring the obstacles that are in front of you. Generally, selfish people aren't very happy with their lives. I can tell you are to some degree selfish, because you ended 3 out of 5 sentences with 'I need'. When you start giving and stop taking, eventually you will realize that the same vibe will be returned to you. If you hate your life, and you are asking people for advice, then you are already headed in the wrong direction, because if you can't learn to be happy with yourself, you will never learn to be happy with others; you can't expect other people to be the source of your happiness. Change your mindset, and your mindset will change you.

Not sure what I'm suppose to do...

I guess look online for jobs and get some applications out their; your not going to get a job sitting around on vizzed all day (well unless David posts something.) Lottery I can't help you their, I would say just pray to God or hope your really lucky. If you want to be around happy people then try show some happiness as well (like GuardianZack says). Finally don't hate your life, be glad that your alive and that your around people who care about you (family, friends, pets).

This is easy.  Start volunteering.  Volunteer at various places to meet new people and surround yourself with positivity.  Volunteers are happy people who want to help others and they're very outgoing.  You'll meet contacts, meet new people who can help you find a different position or a different career.

Volunteer.  It'll open a hundred new doors to a new, happier life.

Totts : Well, I can certainly relate to how you are feeling. I have been a struggling writer for years and have found it difficult to be paid much less earn a living. I can also relate to not liking life very much. I’ve been there believe me. As far as searching for work I would try to search online and see what you can find based on interest. Many companies offer telecommute work now of days if you want to work out of your home. This can be a little tricky as there are some that will want you to pay to get started. It’s best to stay away from those and to research, research, research.

In regard to wanting to be surrounded by happy people well, the one thing that I would aim for is people who are good influences, people who encourage you to do good things and who offer support. Obviously it’s best to stay away from those who are bad influences or who just aren’t good for you. This is a lesson that I have learned over time and it isn’t an easy thing to learn especially when you may be convinced that the people you’re hanging out with are really your friends. It’s better to take a step back look at things for what they are and approach things with new perspective and if necessary cut out people who aren’t good for you.

Best of luck to you.

LOL one of these. Cmon Vizzed supply me with something difficult to answer. Alright your biggest problem is everything around you is negative. Or is it just stress all around? The post you have given us is too vague. You need to explain yourself better if you want the best answer possible,Ok! i'll do my best have a routine! Do things you love to do! The job you have right now? Do you like your job. It's fact that people who enjoy their work tend to be more positive. I'm not the best in answering these questions and i'm certainly far away from being a psychiatrist but please make sure you understand my post if you can supply me with more details i may be able to help a bit more.

Definitely don't bank on the lottery. If you're really desperate for a job, I'd say go to every establishment you can find and ask if they're hiring and try to apply. Also search online for jobs. There are a number of job sites on the net. When going to places in person, ALWAYS dress your best... even if it's just to inquire or hand in your resume/application... dress like you're going in for an interview. First impressions are lasting ones, after all.

You should always treat job hunting like it's a job itself. Devote a full 8 hour shift to it with a couple of breaks for meals and whatnot. This will give you the best chances for success.

Also, word-of-mouth is powerful. Let people know you're looking and you might eventually have someone tell you of an opening.

Crazy Li : Well said. Though when i got my first job it kinda bothered me that they hired me so quickly. They said we love your "People skills, great attitude. And how your so well-spoken". But i quit the job because i honestly wasn't going anywhere. I wanted a job where i knew i could advance in the ranks and maybe be in a position of authority. But i have this mentality of i'd rather do it myself and do it correctly then tell someone else to do it and have them screw it up. LOL. But listen To Crazy Li she seems to know what shes talking about.
