Over the hill?

What's the big deal?

I am not player hatin' here, I own all of his original albums, was bang on him when he came out frontin' for Biggie,

But why is he the most well paid successful rapper, in fact is he? I hear him being discussed like he is, but is this just his image, he is not that good a rapper, but then you don't have to be good to be successful, just need the right deals and to not be ripped off.

But is not the big J just a product, 'owned' by a rich bourgeois music corporation.

I do not like to see negative portrayals of any ethnicity and yet these guys bring that to their own people, shame on them, what about promoting positive image?

I like Rap music, (mainly stuff released before say 2005) but I've never been a huge fan of Jay Z. I enjoyed his first major album, but that's it. As he went on, I got sick of his music quickly.

He's nowhere near the level of guys like Pac, Biggie, Ice Cube IMO
