    i can't believe no trades on emulator!!! it means you can't get gengar, alakazam, machamp, steelix, scizor, and politoed. other than that, game is good. it's kind of easy as most trainers outside of gyms are really easy; gyms are like the only tough parts. another bad thing is that you can only go from kanto to johto or vice versa on sunday and i think it is tuesday; correct me if im mistaken. also you must change boxes if your box is full or else you can;t catch pokemon which is really stupid. i don't get why the games can't do that automatically but thats nintendo for you. the maps are better than red and yellow and blue though.

This really doesn't qualify as a review. It is just bringing up a few things you don't like, one of which has nothing to do with the game itself. The whole trading thing is just because the plugin doesn't support Netplay for now. That is a future thing when enough donations are mad. Without that part, the review is under 100 words. Again, I don't count the trading thing because that has to do with the emulator. Remember that reviews are supposed to review the games, not the emulator.

Pokemon gold was one of my first pokemon games I had, my aunt had caught all the pokemon on it and I would just play by battling the pokemon in the grass since I was only small and didn't know how to play it.

I kinda agree with you with the game trading. The game makers made it harder maybe because to make it slightly harder for you to complete the pokedex.But who knows only they know the reason.

If you want a more complete Pokedex, I'll just suggest you play Pokemon Crystal. There's still some Pokemon that aren't in it, but it still has most version-exclusive Pokemon.
