So, my buddy I went out to do a little clothes shopping this past weekend. We went to Banana Republic and each bought a suit. He bought two, actually, along with another shirt I think. They were 40% off, plus another 6% with our military discounts. The full original price of mine was over $350, but I got for $193 and some change. My buddy's original total was somewhere around $800, but got everything for $500. We plan on going out this weekend- one of his friends birthday is this weekend and one our presents to her is us "suited up!"

I'm posting the pictures here so I can show it off to you guys, and for you to help decide with what shirt would look better for going out

My vote goes to the suit with the dark red shirt. There's something about the lower contrast between the shirt and suit that I like more than the bright green (or blue?) shirt. Either way, it's a dang good outfit.

Oh i thought Requiem made this thread because she last made a post on it so I really wanted to see her in a suit.Anyway I hate wearing suits last time i wore one was on New Year Eve i left the house around 3pm and the concert show started around 9pm so i was just hanging around at Mandalay Bay for hours before the show then i realize the show was outside were the beach was and i was the only person wearing a suit at a country show ....

Yeah, I'll leave the Roxbury stuff to someone else. I'm looking to be of class this weekend. So everyone is partial to the maroon shirt, huh? I gotta agree, it does look good. Nice suit SGT! I too would have to go with the red shirt. But you're missing one important thing: A tie! No proper gentleman is complete without a nice tie. Actually, if you could get a smokey shirt that was the same color as your suit, and wide WHITE tie would pull the look off amazingly!

Myself? I never much cared for two buttons, which isn't to say I don't like the look, I'm just a three button kind of guy. Totes digging it though. Have fun partying.

Personally, it would depend on where you're going...if it's out to nightclub or the party scene, I would go with the the Maroon shirt as well, (picture 4) the darker Maroon looks better.
