To start things out i want to say Gro0vy!

I believe i have found a solution well enough to play through the full game.

Starting with "Level 2" not quite sure the name of it myself so we will call it "Level 2"
To handle the freezing hit the "Esc" button bring up the menu go to "Config" find at the bottom of the list "Speed"
At the bottom of the Speed options list you will see the EMU speed toggle which you can slide left or right = slower or faster.
I had played through all of "Level 2" with the EMU speed at        /5 to /6 or /7  .. BUT this alone will not fully solve the problem.
You will have to use your judgement on how often to "Save State". I myself must have used it dozens and dozens of times just to be sure.
And in doing that i was able to progress slowly but surely through "Level 2" Where the freezing tends to happen on this level is when
you bring out your gun to shoot and move the dirt around to carve a path.So as a tip use "Save State" before you do this and every so often
of carving your path through this dirt STOP and and Save.You will be freezing through this so save smart and save often and reload your saved state when you freeze and try to continue.This may seem like quite the hassle but once you get through Level 2 all is pretty much smooth sailing from there.And you can return your EMU speed back to X 1 which should be the normal game speed.

Also slowing down the game as i have explained above makes it easier to not freeze so quickly which should make your progression through the level slow but sure.On normal speed what would seem like a second will be extended when slowed down so you will just have to use your judgement on what speed you can get it done.

Now WOAH before you go jumping into game thinking that is it Read this.

The next level which is called "The Flying King" DO NOT use the rockets on the sides that speed you through the map UNLESS you have slowed the EMU speed to at least  / 3    otherwise it will result in another freeze. What helped me through this level was "Save State" every so often so in case i did freeze i could just come right back moments earlier prior the freeze.

And now for the third level BEWARE the UFO trying to abduct your cows i had froze a few times when they were abducting them on normal speed did NOT test on a slower speed as this is easily avoided without.


So there you are as far as i have seen those are the only problems that involve the game freezing.I had played through the rest of the game and beat it on normal speed setting.

NOTE: You can use "Save State" as many times as you want but be careful as you DO NOT want to use Save state during a freeze.

I hope this little guide has been made clear on how to solve the Freezing problem and Happy gaming.
If you have any questions i will do my best to answer them.I also want to note that i have seen this Freezing problem in a few other games and this guide might work the same with these other games if you happen to stumble upon them.I have yet to test this myself on these other games but have seen posts made with similar solutions it is worth a shot..Small price to pay to play some of the best video games ever made.
