So, I thought I'd start a blog. Partially because of how much Viz one can make by updating regularly. Oh, and because I care about my relationship between other members. That too.

I ran into a roadblock when beginning to type this post. I realized that my life is not in fact, funny. It isn't the kind of thing people would read and chuckle at, say "Oh TJ!", and quote me to their friends. It isn't even sitcom worthy, which I guess is really saying something.

So how do terrible people become famous? Marketing and packaging and publicity and stuff like that.

First, marketing. Tell your friends and stuff how great this is to read when there is absolutely nothing better to do. I might even put a link in my signature and what not to spread the word.

Next, packaging. I've already acknowledged that I don't live a dangerous and action-packed life. So, I'll wrap the crummy content into something airy and witty. Some might call it charming. I'll make everyone think what I'm saying is funny and cool, even though it isn't. It's rather ingenious, right?

Finally, I'll need mad publicity to get this thing running. I think a simple link in chat should do it. That's probably how most of you reading this will have gotten here, anyway. Oh, and I should point out that I need at least one person posting after each entry, so I don't double post. You get 1.5x as much viz, so it's totally worth it.

Well, I haven't even made an entry yet, and I've rambled on for 248 words. tl;dr, am I right? That's fine. I'll write what I did today, I suppose. Read, enjoy. Or don't, I don't mind, I already got you to read almost 250 words expecting some quality. So really, I'm the winner.

2/25/2012

Well, I woke up this morning, listened to about an hour of the Beatles (I swear, Strawberry Fields Forever is speaking to me.) and then I got out of bed. After a delicious meal of eggs and bacon from my lovely mother I turned on my laptop. I logged onto Vizzed chat, started working on some homework, forgot I was logged into chat, and got kicked out for inactivity. It was for the best I suppose; copperfield was the only one in there that I saw. I drank 3 cans of Cream Soda before realizing that I was totally wasting my Saturday. I mean, what the hell? So I read several articles on http://www.27bslash6.com/ and decided I was making much better use of my Saturday than I was before when I was productively working on homework. I played some Super Smash Bros Brawl with my brother, killed him with Lucas as always, and he raged and stormed off. I caught the second half of the Creighton-Indiana State basketball game and watched it with my dad. Exciting games like that always inspire us to go out and hoop it up, so we played basketball for about an hour before we decided it was way too freaking cold. I logged onto chat at about 7:30 I guess, and spent a little while typing this up for your enjoyment. (Or not, as previously stated.)

So, comments or suggestions? Want me to keep this up? I tried to make it as fun as my not-fun life could be.

tj4bigred : Hahaa, oh TJ, you sure don't disappoint! Sure it's not mindblowingly exciting, but it's funny and charming, just like you were going for.

But what I'm really trying to say is:

A+ would read again, brah.

Not bad, not bad. I'm not so much worried about the content and charm of you blog as I am about how regularly you'll update this. I've seen a ton of blogs on Vizzed go for 2, 3 entries and they'll just drop dead.

I hope you try to push yourself to write something for a while. Make it a regular thing. It might be plain, but you can certainly turn it into something charming, like Lucky Star. ;3

KG : Why thank you! I do try pretty hard.

Someone70 : I feel bad because I gave up all electronic devices on Sunday as part of my Lenten promise. Very pious of me, huh?

So, I hope to post as often as possible, but obviously Sunday is a no-can-do. So when I find the time, I'll tell you all what led up to the time.

Even if I had been on Vizzed yesterday, it wouldn't have mattered, because I was super busy. It was my grandfather's 74th birthday, and we were entertaining. Me more than others of course. Roast beef sandwiches for dinner, which were delicious. They finally left (I love my relatives, but can only take so much of them) at around 6:30. I watched the Oscars, but I turned it off in disgust at about 9:30. I hate how the Academy takes films and just decides they are good. If The Artist hadn't been silent it wouldn't have been anything Oscar-worthy. It's just a novelty. I got a whole lotta sleep last night too.

2/28/12

A normal day at school for the most part, and I think most people would call it a first world problem, but my phone had almost no battery, which made the rest of the day tougher. The first day of soccer tryouts were today, and the coach was a teacher assistant at my elementary school and counselor at my summer camp. Needless to say, I have that advantage at least. During a scrimmage, I managed to score a goal that would've put Pelé to shame. Anyway, I'm hoping I make the team, but 40 people are trying out and they only take 22. I realized during tryouts that I am not in shape. I need to get back to running more on a regular basis.

So yeah. Another boring day, but not uninteresting per se. Also, I have a test on matrices coming up in Algebra, and I don't understand them at all. If someone wanted to take the time to teach a fool, it'd be much appreciated.

So far so good eh? Well, as far as posting, you can also edit the first post to avoid those double posting problems...according to what I've seen and read.

But please, when you do have the time, continue posting. I don't normally post in blogs but I do lurk and read on other people's blogs to see what their lives are like. (That and my natural curiosity getting the best of me. XD;; ) And hey, whatever may not seem to be the highlight of your life may be an interesting read in another person's eye, so don't be afraid to post on!

Soccer? As often as I hear the sport's name itself, I've never heard of a person's viewpoint of the game, so thanks for giving a little of your perspective. I really hope you make it on the team. Just wondering, in a soccer game you play, how much running do you get out of it?

Oh and hope you did well for Algebra. As much as I wish I can help on the subject, I still have a bit to learn myself.

Anyway, do what you can, hope for tomorrow, and post again soon!

One thing I hate about reading blogs is that people think that ever detail of their day is so interesting that we all should be honored to read about it. They think we should be amazed, entertained, inspired, etc by their every moment. What I like about this blog is that it does not do that. It is short and simple. Sure, nothing particularly interesting happened in your day, but it was told in a way that was not boring and it had a certain charm to it. I would read more.

MissComical : Unfortunately, I did not make the soccer team. I'm not exactly a stellar player, but getting cut sucked.

rcarter2 : What you said kind of makes me want to post an entry where everything I say is meticulous and trivial. (Woke up, opened my eyes, stepped out of bed, took a step, took another, eventually reached bathroom...)

Anyway, my grandfather passed away today, well, yesterday technically. He was 91 years old and had Pancreatic cancer, which is fatal in all cases. His death is hard on the family, but we saw it coming, and he lived a lot longer after his diagnosis than he was supposed to.

Since I've given up electronics on Sundays for Lent and I was busy Saturday, I haven't been on Vizzed since Friday. I happened to have 20 notifications. At first, I thought it was because people missed me, but it was just a bunch of favorited threads. Ah well.

I also took three nighttime Advils to help with some pain for my braces, and I'm not tired at all. Seems odd, because normally I would be unconscious by now.

Thanks for not letting this thread die guys!

Aha to be honest I think that's pretty much what the whole teenage race gets up to during their weekend days lol I think you pretty much summed up my normal Saturday, apart from work. You should keep the blog up so once everybody is in a false sense of security reassuring themselves that 'this is what teenagers do' when something awesome comes up you can give everyone a lil' shock factor like if a meteorite hits or you meet some hot girl or whatever :p
