I thought it'd be fun to have a Fantasy Football league for Vizzed Board.

Those who don't know what it is, it's based on the NFL. You basically create your own team by picking which players of the NFL you want as your team and you get points based on the stats they get each week. More can be read at the following url

Entry fee is 2500 Viz (or US $3 by paypal).

Exact rules haven't been decided yet and can be negotiated. It will cost 250 Viz to trade for new players after the league has started, that Viz will go toward the pool (the pool is the combined Viz from everyones entry fee's).

Here are the payouts:
1st place: wins 75% of pool (with 8 entires that'd be 15,000+ viz)
2nd place: wins 15% of pool
3rd place: wins 10% of pool

My team name will be Vizzeteers (it's what I used last year). This league will be hosted using Yahoo, drafting will start mid August and the League begins early September.


Those interested, just say so here. You don't have to pay your fee until drafting begins, which will be mid August. It doesn't require a lot of commitment or time, you could easily get by with only spending 10 minutes a week on this. It's also a ton of fun, even if you're not into american football and the best of all, you really don't have to know a lot about the NFL in order to play. In fact, you don't need to know anything about it. And you don't have to know how to play Fantasy Football to enter either, you'll just slowly start to understand how things work as it progresses, it's pretty simple and easy but does require a lot of strategy and thinking.

Also I would like to point out, we need at least 8 people to have a league, otherwise we wont have enough. 20 is the limit, though I doubt we'd reach that.


EDIT - This is not the plus league, this is the free league. Just wanted to point that out, there were some confusion.

Also notice that this is based on active nfl players, you get points according to the stats they get each week. Also, you don't even have to know the players that you have on your fantasy football team, you can just pick random players and yahoo even helps you pick players if your unsure who to pick.

Also, for people who don't have the Viz to enter, I will lend you Viz and in return, all you have to do is split your winnings with me. Or if someone else is willing to lend you Viz, that's fine also.

A live online draft seems like it'd be impossible to pull off. If we can start soon, like in a week, than we can do the draft right here on vizzed board. But since doing it on vizzed board would take a couple of weeks I'm sure, than we'd have to have an random/automatic draft if we don't get atleast 8 people in this by mid august.

We should try to do online. As long as 4 out of 8 show up, it would be fine. Everyone else can just autopick; it's not that terrible. Also, the winnings should be split 60-25-15 if we don't get 10 or more people

whoa, these settings are WEIRD. Could we get rid of the defensive player (please) and change one or two W/T positions to W/R? That would make life easier

We need atleast 5 more people and it's starting to look like we're not going to get 5 people in time for the NFL season to start
