I was sort of surprised about it too.  Just a week ago, one of my favorite teachers from when I was in 9th grade died.  It seems like everyone is just dying before people expect them to. :/
Whitney was such a good singer. To this day, in my opinion,no other singer--man or woman--has been able to achieve what Whitney has.  Sadly, she has left us now. We still have records of her legacy though.

Yeah, my family was all over this the minute news of her death came out. I never listened to much of her music, but it's sad to see that her death was supposedly caused by her drug use. She was a great singer though.

I have no feelings or emotions for her death. That might sound evil but if I died would she care? Would the media and world care? No, they wouldn't. So I think we are even. Plus she was rich, famous and made history and is loved by millions... am I suppose to feel sorry for her and cry?

yeah, I posted this less as a "oh, let's feel bad that a rich person died" and more of a "hey look, someone famous who could do something exceptionally died". there is a difference.

I'm not sad about this really.... but like many other deaths of famous people there is a loss to some degree or another, just like there is a loss when a regular person dies.
