I really have enjoyed this show and while I agree with the recent assessments that the older seasons were better than the current one I also think that that format would have gotten stale after a while. There was a need for new characters in my opinion. Without the new characters I think it would have been tough to write stories this far into the series without getting a bit old.

I didn't before but I kept trying it and fell in love when Sheldon was trying to make friends and expressed his love for monkeys :3 That was so cute. I really like the episode "The Psychic Vortex" so far. Especially seeing Sheldon with the Hulk hands I would of had that same reaction!

I like the big bang theory very much. The characters are smart and funny. The non-typical situations they get into are hilarious, for instance how they blew up their elevator or the time Sheldon was fighting over a parking spot that he didn't even use.
