Personally I love the Pokémon series. I think they are very fun. This was a nice addition to the series. Because I don't like being a human. It makes it boring to me. But they are still okay. The story in this game is unbelievable. It's not a difficult game if you just take your time. I like to save before a boss battle and press F4 if I die! The game is so addicting! I played it when I was seven and I still love it to this day. I have beat 30 times probably. The graphics are just sprites as usual in Pokémon games. I just think it's a very good game and I do recommend this game.

I like the Pokemon series as well but after like the 4th game, it's become repetitive to me.

I notice the graphics in this game are slightly different from the other Pokemon games....is it a hack? I might consider playing this sometime, seeing as it's different from the original Red, Yellow and Blue or appears that way.

No it is an original game. And very fun as well. I just play the Pokémon games to see what they changed like storyline or what ever. No hacks. Might I add you should check out Super Smash Brothers. It has Pokemon and is very different. It has nice graphics. I play it on the Wii to.

sounds like another good pokemon hack to me. I suppose it is weird to be a human, but that's the unique part of the hack I suppose. Its a good hack. I like it

Yes this is not a hack I own this game on my game boy SP (adv) it is very fun & very different from all the classic Pokémon games in well every way the only think the same is theirs Pokémon xD

The only think I didn't really like is you don't get to evo till the main story line is over but even then theirs like 15 new places you get to unlock in secret ways

to be honest I beat the game over 10 times easily & found out new things each time & more & more places to go to by doing the oddest of things sometimes & I only got it once but I don't know how too sorry there is a map place that NEVER ENDS I got to floor 857 on it before dying its crazy I heard theirs only 1000 floors for sheer coding but just impossible to make it pass 500 but I got to 857 myself so with the sites f2 f4 cheatablity maybe someone can honestly concur the unconcorable

Just to say, this game is sort of based off an ASCII game called Rogue. More specifically, the NetHack spin off of Rogue. One could say it's NetHack with a Pokémon skin placed on it and made a million times easier for players, but there are a number of changes that make it less like NetHack with a skin. (For one thing, items aren't unknown to you in this game, so you don't have to use it to figure out what it does and potentially poison or murder yourself in the process. And the rules of Pokémon apply instead of using armor and weapons.)

For some reason, I can't really get into this game enough to get beyond Mt. Thunder (both files I've started, I kind of stopped playing in that dungeon), and yet I was able to play Explorers of Sky until after beating The Grand Master of All Things Bad. Don't know what it is that kept me focused on the second one that the first seems to fail to do. Maybe it's a more active villain/rival? Either way, this game does have its unique charm. I'd recommend giving it a try, and if you like it, to go research and play the games this was based off of. (I warn you, expect to die a LOT if you go after those games. If you're one of those people who like to go until the end, but get frustrated easily, they aren't for you.)

I do want to throw out that this game is definitely not a hack. I can say this definitely because I ordered it when it first came out with its sister game, Blue Rescue Team. In fact, it's an entire spin-off series from Nintendo themselves:

http://serebii.net/mysteriousdungeon/

And of course, the others that Nintendo has made:

http://serebii.net/dungeon2/
http://serebii.net/dungeon3/
http://serebii.net/dungeoninfinity/

So yeah - definitely not a hack. I personally love the Mystery Dungeon series; it's a lot of fun and more my style of play for Pokemon. And games in general. I find it much more entertaining to /be/ the Pokemon and play in the Mystery Dungeon games for a few reasons:

1. Everything changes constantly. Nothing is ever the same so it provides a huge, huge variety of opportunity within the game. Especially with the maps.
2. With Mystery Dungeon, you can have a completely different story-line. With the trainer games - it always follows the key element of getting the badges with a little bit of bad guy thrown in.
3. You don't have to fight to get all the damned Pokemon! Almost all of them are in the games already. All of them are in the games between the two or three that they release in each installment.
