I recently got a laptop (birthday present) but I dislike touchpads but didn't have an extra mouse, so as you can guess there was a problem for me until I found out about Synergy! This little power house of a program makes it so you can share one set of a mouse and keyboard between as many computers as you would want. It's as simple as dragging the mouse to the end of one screen and it pops up on another!
In short: ONE MOUSE/KEYBOARD FOR UNLIMITED COMPUTER FUN WOO! Edit: You could also try out Input Director pretty much the same deal but it may interest you more. They should set that up on all the computers at Best Buy (Or an electronics store, for those who don't have best buys around)

Synergy is ok but I much prefer Input Director. Input Director is basically the same thing but in my opinion is much better. Try out "Input Director" DM and see if you like it better.

So I tried out Input Director and final verdict for it is:
PROS: + Good support for multiple monitors on one machine. + Easy setup. + Graphical interface for monitor position. + Takes less processing power. CONS: - Can't handle the surreal monitor positions that synergy handles. (Having my laptop to the left of the stationary and above the stationary at once? AWESOME!) - Slower, not good for fighting games. - Doesn't have the multi tap feature that synergy has. I say that synergy is slightly better for my purposes but Input Director was an awesome program to! I'd advise anyone using multiple computers to try out both. Yeah I've actually used both but here at work but for what I do, Input Director just seemed like the better choice but for what you want to do, Synergy is probably your better choice.
