So, yeah. I'm just another new guy on this site.
I actually found it by accident, when trying to find a way to play some old games from my childhood which I can't play right now, because I moved out of my parents house and don't have a TV.
Other than that, I guess there's not much more to tell about me, just an university student, trying to kill some time with video games from a time when the were still real games ... now most are just all about the graphics...
I'm from Germany, by the way, so please excuse my not-so-perfect English.
So, yeah. I'm just another new guy on this site.

I can definitely get behind that sentiment. There's something to the simpler gameplay of the old games that the new stuff just can't compare to. And this place is great for playing those!

Reading your post, I think we share some similarities. Both of us are fluent English speakers from outside the USA (I'm Brazilian, btw) , and both of us discovered Vizzed by accident. Coincidence? Probably. 

And about your English skills, I think they're perfect.  I also have a fear of writing in English and accidentally make a mistake, even a minor one, and then forget to proof  - read it and post/save/send it without fixing it. If I discover that I did such thing, I go all "Oh no! What I'm going to do?". Thanks god Vizzed has a spell - check function .

I've learned English in school for nine years. So yeah, my English should be pretty good, but when talking to native speakers I always think I'm making mistakes all the time and when I re-read something, it seems to me like it was written by a seventh grader or something^^

@laian: Mostly RPG's like Lufia, Illusion of Gaia, the Final Fantasy series. The Donkey Kong Country games were my favourite games when I was little. The new games I play are basically Minecraft and Call of Duty in multiplayer.

So, if I wanted to summon Lazlo, I'd go:

One of my absolute favourite games back then was Mystic Quest. For one, it was one of the few games I could actually beat and it seems I always liked turn-based battles. Later, when I got a better gamer, I also started to love Super Metroid.

By Mystic Quest, do you mean the strange Final Fantasy game? I admit, it's not bad for a younger game, but I came to grow and enjoy deeper games, such as Final Fantasy Tactics. If you like turn based battles, definitely take a look at that one!
Also: Major props for loving Super Metroid. By far, one of the most finely crafted games in existence. =D

I've played the Version for the GBA, don't know if you can compare them. I always lost interest in it after some time and stopped playing. And when I would pick it up again, I would start all over again and so on. So I haven't finished it yet.
