Yeah you get the idea choose your favorite type of game and why.

I personally choose Platform and Action Adventures, Nya~.
Basically all of my favorite games/game series' have been from one of those two sections, and I find them to be much more fun than others such as shooters and rpgs.
A close second/third would be Hack 'n Slash games. Those are always fun when you're bored Nya~

By the way, I enjoy platformers, I just love all of the traditional platformer elements, running, jumping, collecting... Well that's pretty much it. Jumping on bad guys... You get the idea. Hey why does jumping always seem to solve all of life's problems?

For me, it's always been the adventure games where you can visit ruins and stuff. The ones with suspicion and leave you curious to know what will happen. Those are the type of games i like

I like at least one game in all genre, but I tend to gravitate towards RPG. I like the aspect of being able to play out a story. I also find it's much more relaxing for me, gets my mind off stuff. The only problem is that it takes ages to finish one if I can manage to finish at all because unlike when I was a teenager, I usually don't have time to just veg out for hours and hours to play.

I like just about every type of game except dating sims and porno games. I usually play shooters, RPGs, open world games, Devil May Cry type of action games, survival horror, point and click adventure games, arcade style stuff, hack and slash, and strategy games. I love 3D platformers quite a bit, too. I generally play shooters that have a compelling idea in the story or are simply fun. Doom has pretty much no story, but the game is so satisfying, I could care less if the game is hardly an example of good story telling.

I grew up on RPGs, and they always are fun to me. I don't really look for story in them, though. I actually find stories in stuff like Bioshock to be more compelling. Silent Hill 2 is a survival horror game that I still consider to be a masterpiece in story telling.

I simply like gaming in general. I don't like to restrict myself, so I like many types of games.

I'd have to go with action/adventure, though those often blur the line a little bit with RPG. The ones that have RPG elements typically tend to be my favorites. That said, I much prefer games that require you to do the fighting on your own, as opposed to, say, final fantasy which usually has turn taking battles.

Also, although they aren't my favorite anyway, sports games should be added to the list of possible options. They aren't quite my favorite, but I love spending some time playing a little superstar on Madden.

I would assume 2D fighters qualify as a "beatem up" game. I chose that because in most cases RPG's bore me with their walls of psycho-babble-based text. I've never been bored by a 2D fighter however.

Beat em up? Are you referring to fighting games? My favorite type of games are Fighting games such as Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat etc. I enjoy games with characters that have super powers and using them.

Hmm... that's a tough question but yeah, I love adventure games, roleplaying games, scary games (or survival-horror games).
Now why? Roleplaying game and adventures games because the dungeons and the quests are so enjoyable, I feel myself like an adventurer and survival horror games because... well, it's for adrenaline, I love being scared

Action/Adventure and Survival Horror (Resident Evil FTW!!!) has always been my favorite genres. I suck at shooters and I don't have the patience to play through most RPGs. The only RPG that will actually play all the way is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.

Action adventure and sports....well its a blend....I would say Grand Theft Auto III....where you can explore everything..and got no limit.....and some football games...

I love RPGs because I love a good story, plus, I'm pretty bad at most games that involve pressing a combination of buttons in a certain order, first person games, games with holes, and pretty much anything that involves an activity other than pushing a button multiple times very quickly. That being said, I consider games like Zelda and Pokemon to be RPGs so I got most of my favourite games included.

I mainly like open world adventure games like Skyrim, Infamous, Batman Arkham City, Red Dead Redemption, Etc. I also like RPG games, Fighting games, survival horror, 1st person/ 3rd person shooters, puzzle games, real time strategy games, stealth games, sports games, racing games and so on. I pretty much like any type of game =P

I always loved the action adventure like Pokémon or final fantasy because you play it in a long period of time especially when the game is a new released one super cool.

I love a lot of different game types, RPG, Action Adventure, Platform, FPS, Sim, and sports over the years....but I think my favorite, and most sustained game type is RPG. I have so many great memories of beating RPG games over the years growing up....whether it be Zelda, Dragon Warrior, or Final Fantasy on the NES, or Phantasy Star on the Genesis...there are so many RPG's that I have loved over the years it would be silly to try to list them all.
