I found this out through a gaming site.  The PS Vita is the next generation of the PSP.  Here is the link:

What is your opinion about it? I think that this looks cool, but I am not looking forward in purchasing it since I do not have the original PSP console.

Yeah the vita has been announced awhile ago anyway it looks neat but i'm more of a Nintendo kinda guy the only Sony consoles I've had was PS2

Wow, I did not hear about it anywhere, even on TV lol.  I guess things just happen and some do not notice it.  It does look good.

Okay. I'll just quickly go over each feature and give my opinion on them.

AT&T 3G/Wi-Fi

Because AT&T and Sony have done similar things in the past few years, this doesn't really surprise me. This is meant to keep scores in real-time, ranking news feeds as well. Great for hardcore gamers, but not really for me. Hopefully it is good for browsing the Internet and the like. I'd sure would like that.

Front and rear cameras

Well Nintendo did it with their 3DS, Apple did it on their latest iPhones and iPods, so were we to expect anything less in the PS Vita?

Six Axis motion sensor

With hindsight being 20/20, there's no surprise here. I hope that they take full advantage in this with future games --but I still wonder if I'll even buy any.

Touchscreen

It's becoming a standard for smartphones. Since the DS has had a touchscreen, why shouldn't the PS Vita have one as well?

Rear touchpad

Um, was it necessary? Will games require it? All they say is that it is to free up your view of the OLED screen. Okay, but is just sounds a little overkill to me.

GPS

It's to help connect you to other players along with social networks. I have no use for it. I don't know anyone who plays the same games as me, and I do not want my every move to be tracked.

Cross play

Start playing a game on the PS3, and finish on the PS Vita. Nice. Just like Nintendo's Wii U and it's new controller --blame the PS Move for getting me into comparing Playstation to Nintendo.

Dual Analog Sticks

I guess it had to happen. Now the handheld is even closer to a PS3 controller. They are just missing L2 & R2 --unless those on the underside.

OLED

Had to Google this. Organic light-emitting diode. This is meant to show up to 16 million colors. Sounds like the latest technology to me. That has got to be one vibrant screen!

Overall: Clearly going with the latest technology here. Some things have no use to me, but that's because I just don't game as much as I used to. Now if I can play my PSP games in it, I'm happy.

Seems to be failing in Japan so far, I hope it goes well here because I personally want one.

I want to see a Call of Duty for PS Vita, and the fate of that rests on whether it does well in America.
