Right... hello, Vizz-ers!

I'm SourceRemorses, aka Matt [some people find it easier to remember me by the username, feel free to nickname me or choose whatever way you'd like].

Funny story, actually, that brought me here, haha. Today, I was just scanning through YouTube, and I came across a game that I used to play ... years ago: Rampage World Tour and it's sequel, Universal Tour. I love those games still today, and I saw someone record some game play for the second instalment. I read in the description that it was found 'online', so, good old Google came up and I searched. Vizzed lead me to this gold mine of nostalgia!! And here I am. I have yet to discover more games that I've probably longed for as a kid on here - looking forwards to that. I love retro games - I mean, who doesn't??

Hand on heart, I'm not a big gamer, but I do like the all time favourites [in my opinion]: Amnesia: The Dark Descent and it's Justine mod, really enjoyed the Haunted House mod for Half-Life 2, the Silent Hill series, Dead Space 1 and 2, Resident Evil - I guess I'm a survival-horror-adventure-puzzle fiend. I love a scare and challenge!

I sometimes follow the gaming reviews from IGN and Machinima, as well as being a fan of The Escapists' Zero Punctuation, Ben 'Yahtzee'. I enjoy his stuff - hopefully you guys of heard of him - if not, it's worth a watch! I know he criticises a lot of games, that even I, myself love and enjoy, but he does make valid and hilarious points. I still play the game to check it out for myself - besides, it's all professional opinion. Doesn't mean you have to believe in what a professional says, right?

Unfortunately, my gaming time has come to a stand still - I'm a student in Uni these days, and part-times have tugged me down. I'd like to get back into gaming - my girlfriend is a big gamer - and I'd like to at least show her I'm not game-illiterate!

Other things about me? Well... not to give away too much of my persona, but I am British, highly sociable, easy to talk to... creative! Yes, creative. I'm actually looking at posting in the Art Forums here - I love writing poems. I don't write the lovey-dovey stuff though - very rare area of mine, but I do like being ambiguous... I love reader's responses, and I hope there's some people who like a bit of not-so-confusing poetry...! I was an A grade English Literature student back in Sixth Form!!

In juxtapose to this, I am also into visual art - theatre, music.. and so on. Right now, I'm a freelancer Photoshop artist - but I can draw and paint without this. Right now, the art movement I'm under is Lowbrow - or Pop Surrealism - if any of you out there are familiar with those terms. I'd like to post some of my art here too, if I can!

Hello SourcedRemorses, nice to meet you and welcome to Vizzed Board.

Interesting and detailed introduction. By the way, I love scary games, survival-horror games, one of my favorite series is Fatal Frame and when I saw Amnesia: The Dark Descent... man, this game is so freaking scary ( and I will do a Let's Play of this game 0_0 ). I also planned to do some other scary games ^^.

Anyway, enjoy your stay, have fun and feel free to ask if you have any questions

Hey welcome to the boards. It's funny you should say you liked Amnesia because I hadn't heard of anyone who liked this game before, or even anyone who had heard of it. I only just started playing it, but it has so far been a lot of fun, except it gives me headaches...

But that's hardly related. Hey, welcome to the boards (Again!). If you have any questions...

Hiya Sourced, and welcome to Vizzed!

Wow, all the way from Britain, are you? I'm not quite sure how many Britons we have here, but it's awesome seeing someone not in America every once in a while. x3

I'm not much of a fan of horror games myself. I just get too spooked out when it comes to things like that. I heard Amnesia was a good game, but like I said, I don't do too well with games like those. But I know some people around here that are fans of it too.

If you'd love to get back into gaming, this place is always a good place to start! What retro game would you say is your favorite?

I think I've already seen one of your poems in the Stories/Art forum. It was an amazing piece! I hope you do some more. And of course, you're allowed to post your art in the same forum as well. I'd like to see those, too.

I hope you enjoy your time on the forums. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me or one of the mods a PM!
