Xevious is a game I honestly would have played a lot of back then cause I loved  scrolling shooters the most, I don't see why I have never found this game before. I understand that by the looks of it doesn't really have much of a story to it given the limitations of games back then. But it is quite addictive and any other of the classic scrolling shooters.

It does give quite a bit of difficulty to it at first, but I did manage to beat high score at least from the first attempt, the use of multiple weapons and the fact that you have air AND ground units definitely makes a shooter much more interesting. If not difficult to master on your first run.

For the sounds in the game I noticed a glitch or two in it while the game was running smoothly, but they were okay in terms on what you had bad then to use, The intro music when you start a new life is very catchy to me though which is why I gave this a 7.

And the Graphics were nice as is though not extra ordinary, just flat rate good as compared to other scrolling shooters I've played.

Honestly overall it should have been a game you would have seen in an arcade, it seemed like something old and dusty at first glance of it but after getting to know it, it's quite the addictive game. I have yet to defeat the big boss so definitely challenging.

Xevious is a fun game that I've played a lot. I'm not sure, but I think it did start in arcades.

It's a bit difficult at first glance, but in reality, you should be able to figure your way around the controls easily. It's the most frustrating when you can't get away from bullets you should be able to dodge.

I agree that the review is pretty good. I enjoy seeing non staff reviews saying more than "This game is awesome/sucks. I love/hate it." Anyway, I actually haven't  played this game very many times. I think only twice. Both times, I started the game, and then something came up before I could finish the first level that made me have to end the game. Hopefully, the later levels are more of a challenge because the first was just too easy. I plan on getting through it eventually.
