My high school had a very interesting system. There was the regular old detention system for bullies who got reported/caught. There was also an unspoken agreement among the students that bullying is not okay. The football team enforced that. If they found someone being bullied, they would take out the bully. There was just no tolerance among the students.

Luckily enough, I ate lunch with the football captain, the cheerleading captain, and three of their friends during the first half of my freshman year of high school. It was nice when the cheerleading captain's brother decided to point that out to someone who was being kind of rude to me

Before I went to the private school I graduated from I went to this bully infested dump know
as Tomlin Middle School. In this school I was always bullied but the teachers didn't seem to
care much seeing how they never dealt with the bullies. In my private school there are rarely
bullies but my teacher won't stand for bulling and will kick the kid out without hesitation.

My high school had quite a problem with it. Although, it definitely was not due to the lack of teachers taking action. If you were in any sport or extra curricular activity, if you had that more than once on your school behavioral record, you were out for the semester. There was suspension for other students. If they were repeat offenders, they had to do 10 hours community service around the school, 15 for the next offense, 20 for the next, and so on. If the bullying was severe enough, the police officers that were assigned to my school would arrest them for harassment, battery, or whatever the content of their bullying. Thing is, it wasn't necessarily the jocks who did it as they are stereotyped as doing. The problem was, it was the ones who didn't want to be in school and didn't care what kind of punishment they got. Pretty much the ones who dropped out when they could and did nothing with their lives.

My Highschool doesn't have a bullying problem, but if they did I don't imagine they would care. Fights break out in school sometime, but it's not like kids are being shoved into lockers or any thing like that.

My crappy schools failed to handle it at all, it was far easier to punch bullies in the face, THEN the teachers would punish you for reacting. Phff.

People don't really bully people at my college, but if they did, the school would do something. I know this because my friend was being picked on and we threatened to tell on them. They shut up real quick.

Now as for my high school, nothing was ever done about bullying. Especially if the jocks were involved.

XxChaosxX :

Bullying in college is a lot stupider though. In high school it's just immaturity that maybe gets you detention or something. In college, depending on the severity, they can kick you out and keep your money. Besides that, the only people you can report to are Campus Security, which are basically police officers. Police are a lot more serious than the math teacher.

Well I go to privet school and if theirs a bully they get 1 month of detention and get suspend from what EC activity they do..... and if the don't do any EC activity's they get a "NI" on there conduct  witch means "needs improvement" and that keeps them from getting honors. There

really is no bulling in my school....the reason I know this is because

my friend got bullied in the 3rd grade...and the bully never bullied

again, and it says in the school handbook says that LOL yes I read the hand book

My highschool has no bully problems whatsoever. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get bullied since Elementary School to be honest. And that was a long time ago.

My school has a small bullying problem. Nothing too big. Truth is when I entered high school I was afraid I was going to be a target since I've been a target for just about anything in the other grades, but things actually started going well for me in high school

There was bullying in grade school, though, outside of in kindergarten, it was mostly the older students like the 5th and 6th graders bullying the younger ones. Middle school was full of bullying. I was subject to verbal bullying all of 7th grade, especially in gym class. 8th grade wasn't so bad in that regard because my gym class didn't contain all of the worst behaved students in the school and I actually had many classes with my friends (though it still wasn't a very enjoyable year). I went to a technical/vocational high school and I recall there being like maybe one or two fights during my four years there. Bullying was not a problem at all really. In college during my first semester, I was made fun of behind my back quite a bit and it got me a little depressed because I figured we were all grown up by the time we made it to college. However, since I started taking art classes, cut my 'fro and nails, and started talking to some people a little more, I don't stick out as much as I used to.

Bullying is terrible, especially cyber-bullying. At least you can go home and away from regular bullying, but the cyber stuff can be waiting for you right when you get on your favourite website.

There Are A Few Bullies In My School, Not Many Though. I'm Not Super Strong But I Manage To Beat Up A Bully So He'd Leave Me Alone. I Guess He Picked On Me Because I'm Small.

Our school doesn't HAVE a bully policy, our principle just Treats them like any other student unless it's chronic. Anyway I always hang out with people older than me so I don't have to worry about silly old bullies

Unfortunately for me and one of my friends, our school did not have a policy. We were accused of.. You know, being "together."
That simply was not true though, we were both straight, yet they still bullied us. Finally, one of my teachers found out, my history teacher. He was the most feared teacher in our grade! He did not tolerate bullies, and when he found out, my god if those kids knew what they were in for they would have NEVER come to my school! But, I still am socially awkward from the experience, and now I rarely talk in public. Only over the Internet, where I don't use my voice, I am social. You were/are very luck BNuge!

I was bullied often in school.

So for me, bullying is obviously not ok.

I was a star athlete of sorts... definitely one of the athletic types. Yet I was still the most bullied. Even in high school. It was awful.

I haven't been bullied since 3rd grade. I've simply been bigger than pretty everyone else since then. No one wants to pick on the guy that's bigger than they are, really. And I never bragged or showed off, so the shorter people who liked to pick fights never bothered me either.

Me bullied in school? Why I'd never.....
I'm just kidding of course I have. These white kids (no racism intended) thought I was gay (which I'm not) because of my super squeaky voice (thank god it got deeper during the eighth grade). They constantly kept trying to poke me and whatnot and I kept glaring at them. One of the kids tried to get his friend to hug me. I told him to leave me the hell alone, mentioned that I was not playing around, and when he attempted to hug me anyways, I pushed him so hard he literally went flying up against the wall. Who knew that adrenaline and anger mixed together could do so much damage right? Everybody was laughing at the kid as he looked retarded just lying on the floor and his friends felt pretty awkward. Me and that kid (that got shoved) are kinda cool now, but I haven't talked to the ones that have poked me. I probably will always remember that and be ready to tear their heads off next time they try to do something like that.

Overall, the way I see bullying is like this: you have lot learn how to adapt; how to survive. There're many ways to handle the situations that can come your way when such things happen. You can have a ton of friends; so many that the farthest the bullying will go will be a couple of disses and nothing more. You could also defend yourself (which is my preference) either verbally or physically. For one, the kids never bothered me like that again since that incident. The main reason they hated my guts was because I got into it with one of them on the bus in the 6th grade. I have quite the mouth; I made him look like a retard and everybody was there to see it.

Now, I think that I WOULD be willing to forgive if he was (though I doubt it) and if we cross paths, then so be it. There's no point in sitting at your houses scared and wondering what the next thing someone's going to say or do to you. That's completely ridiculous in my opinion.
