Well... This probably wouldn't count, but I was fooling around with a GameGenie on my NES and found if you enter APPLES on Super Mario Bros. (I think it was the Duckhunt version) You can freeze the game by hitting a block... Not a cool outcome but this has to be the best coincidence ever! APPLES! HOW FREAKEN AWESOME!

Hi guys and girls, I got a really easy cheat for you from Sonic The Hedgehog on Sega Genesis/Mega Drive It's really simple

Step 1:

At the point Sonic starts waving his finger input the button combination of: Up, Down, Left, Right, A+Start together (by standard Sega control settings. Example with keyboard its A+Enter together) If done correctly and in time as you press the right button on the directional pad (or keyboard arrow) you should hear a high pitched noise and after you press the A+Start button's you should end up with this as your screen

Therefore you are able to pick any level to play from.

Have fun cheating =D
