It's a bit of a tie between Super 8 and X-Men: First Class, Nya~.
I love the X-Men series, I've watched every movie over 10 times each I'm willing to bet, (Even though I don't pay attention to the comics and stuff ) and as a movie that explains the origins of Magneto and Professor Xavier, it just went great, if not better than expected.
Super 8's effects were down right perfect, especially with the train scene, and the whole story felt great too, if not above great. It was just basically a perfect movie, IMO Nya~

For me it was "Captain America." The weird part about this movie to me was that I actually enjoyed the part of the movie before Steve Rodgers becomes Captain more than the rest of the film (not that the rest of the movie was bad or anything). Even for someone as jaded as me the pure patriotism and selflessness of Steve Rodgers was really touching. Also the CGI they used to make Chris Evans look like a little twerp was really impressive. It was a little difficult to suspend disbelief completely, since I know what he actually looks like, but it was still very well done.

2011 wasn't a great year for movies, the only three I really liked were 30 minutes or less, Harry Potter 7 part 2, and Green Hornet. They were awesome movies, with my favorite overall being Green Hornet, I really liked that one.

I think my best movie for 2012 is Transformers 3 .. 
Movie Plot :
The Autobots Sideswipe, Ironhide, Rachet and Bumblebee led by Optimus Prime, were back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009′s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Decepticons and Autobots become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There are new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Decent year from what Ive seen, which wasn't much (Ive seen about twelve films from last year) but was enough to have a favorite. My personal favorite of the year would have to be A Separation. My second favorite would probably be The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo.
