Train accident in Montreal

I happened to be on this train when it collided with a truck that drove off the bypass above onto the tracks. Before the lady could call 911 the VIA rail train collided with them.

I'm going to locate the spot today and leave some flowers, seeing as during my 4 hour wait yesterday we couldn't see anything other then the 6 or so other trains going around us to get to our destinations and weren't even informed as to the condition of the motorists until we saw the news much later that night.

I'm not one that is used to talking about this sort of thing to anyone, but if any of you feel like sending some positive energy to the loved ones of these two people in their 50's by all means do so. I hope it can bring even a slight sliver of comfort to their loved ones, as thinking about it makes me uncomfortable to dwell on.

I have a friend who lives in Canada not sure where though but I'm sure she knows all about. Always sad to hear when something like that happens and my condolences go out to everyone involved in it. My prayers will go out to all those involved in the accident.

You were in the train when this actually happened? That would've been traumatizing, at least for me.

Believe it or not, I know people who have gotten hit by trains before, so I kind of know how their families feel. My deepest condolences go out to them. It was just one of the worst kinds of accidents, and it's sad it had to result in something like this in the end...
