The advanced layout creator/editor (the one where you can edit code) is back up with new changes that show errors (some, not all) in your layouts.

- Table Errors (Open and Closed Tables)
- Divider Errors (Opened and Closed Dividers)
- URL Errors (No active links leading to other sites)
- Filesize errors (No pics above 75KB's allowed)

You will not be able to submit a layout if any errors are found. But keep in mind that your layout still has great potential to be filled with errors even if you pass the basic error check.

I'm glad to see this be made... better.

At least now I won't need to worry about basic errors that cause people's layouts to explode the board.

legacyme3 : I doubt it will enable people to make better layouts but it will at least censor out a few really bad ones. There is still tons of html tags that are not being checked maybe in future I can have like over 100 different things its checking but for now this is good enough, these are the main things people screw up on.

The editor is just amazing, some innovative stuff in there and you can definitely tell a lot of time went into making it (and upgrading it recently).  Glad to have it back and with more restrictions, I'm sick of seeing so many bad layouts lol.

The new editor doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm not able to change the background. I specify in the code the dimensions and replace the url with another image which is hosted, then previewing it will show it as changed, but submitting it reverts to the same layout.

Submitting it without previewing it won't work either. Is this only for me, or is this not working?

oh I forgot about that - I might be misunderstanding something in my coding because it says I have 2 closed dividers, so I remove the 2 div tags from my signature, then go to edit the layout again and the tags I removed are back.
