Alright, you've been given one chance to go back and time and prevent the creation of a single video game or an entire video game series. Which series or game would you erase from history?

Honestly, I'm puzzled with this one. Off the top of my head, my first choice would be the Manhunt series. The game wasn't very fun at all, the violence was way too real (more real than a video game should be at least), and the violence that did ensue in that game would be a subject of controversy and an argument for the ridiculous notion that video games should be restricted/banned. But hey, that's just me.

I would say the Madden series or NCAA series (Pretty much all annual sports game series). I tire of hearing obsession about the most recent release. They come out EVERY year, and no matter what you do to it, it is still football, baseball, basketball, etc. The game is not going to get any different. They add a few new little features and update team stats and players. I just don't get it. Just get one of game for each sport, and you pretty much have all of them....

It's hard to name just one game... Basically all of the shovelware 3rd party games that came out for the Wii and release of the 3DS. Those games just gave Nintendo a bad name of a system that can't do anything, while in reality, the Wii and 3DS have a lot of potential.

I would go back to 2003/4 and stop Tales of the Tempest from ever being created. As much as I love the series, that game is a blemish and must be wiped off the face of the series. They were probably just trying to get in on the DS scene and cash in before it's novelty went away. That was the only game where not even the opening sequence could be bothered to be fully animated. They switched in between and used mostly the in-game graphics which were not very good. Tales of Innocence which came out just a few years later for the same system showed up that they can make a good ds game.

I agree with Rcarter.

The whole ESPN type games are wasteful....one is okay but one every like few months of the year get's old and repetitive. Nothing much or at all changes...I don't see the point of making these games unless there are new teams, and that's not the case.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for the DS. AND ONLY FOR THE DS (not 3DS)!
The game was horrible, unlike the rest of the Splinter Cell games. You couldn't even melee enemies, nor shoot out the lights (you had to use the OCP). This game is not worthy of being titled a Tom Clancy's game.

I would probably wipe out Sonic 06 from the face of the earth. It's not the worst game ever, but it really put the blue hedgehog at the lowest point of his career, and the game further influenced the annoying fanbase to complain so much. =/

I would say Zelda's Adventure, Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. Yes, the three games released on Philips CD-I. My god, they were horrible, atrocious, chaotic, whatever you want. Such a shame for this universe honestly.

I'm really not sure. But, if I had to pick one game, I'd pick The Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Ring for the GBA. Absolutely RIDICULOUS number of bugs and glitches? Check. Boring graphics? Check. Music that plays when it wants to? Check. INCREDIBLY boring gameplay? Check. Unrewarding, slow, and really boring fight scenes? Check. A bug in the Mines of Moria which freezes your game when you enter a certain room, so that you have to save at EXACTLY the right time with very little margin for error. Screw up, and your save game is ruined. Have fun going through all the rest of the game ALL OVER AGAIN! Oh, and that's basically near the end of the game, and if you don't have a bunch of seemingly useless runes which take up VERY limited inventory space, then you can't get through it. HOW FUN!!!

This game is just an insult to not the movie, not the book, not even to the GBA. This is an insult to humanity. Thus, any game I deem as bad as this game, or Sword of Sodan, shall get the Black Label, taken from the name of the company who made this atrocity.

Well, for one sports games are getting annoying. Back in the day they were cool but nowadays we can do without. Call of Duty was cool up until Black Ops, which is a great game but nonetheless a rehash of MW2. Now MW3 has come out, also the same game still. It's kind of annoying. I think Superman 64 would've done all of us a favor if it had never been released. But then again what game will take the title of worst game ever? So I guess you can keep Superman just for memories' sake. So yeah, current sports games or any Call of Duty after Modern Warfare 2.

I can understand the frustration towards the sports based games, how they come out every year, but why ban them all?
