It is just what the title says, but there is one thing I have to deal with before I can fully utilize my new laptop. I need the full version of Microsoft Word. The new one came with a trial version of 2010 but all my documents were made in the 2007 version, so there is a compatibility issue for now. My mom suggests calling Microsoft to see if I can transfer Word 2007 instead of paying $120 for 2010 --I only got Word 2007 last year!

Here's some of the nice specs of the new guy.

Windows 7 - I could have upgraded my old one to 7 at the time I bought it, but I was lazy and ended up with Vista the whole time.

Intel Core i3-370 processor - Another major upgrade. My old one runs on an Intel Pentium processor, and it is not meant for some of the games I play online (outside of Vizzed I should say).

15.6" screen (measured diagonally) - My old one has a 14.1" screen. The bigger screen is sweet.

Intel HD Graphics - Now I can play Need for Speed World at a higher graphics level and at a better frame refresh rate.

So does anyone here know what improvements came with 7 when compared to Vista?

icrazyforpokemon : It has a 500 GB hard drive and 4 GB of DDR3 memory. I know the hard drive size is the same as my old one, and I think the amount of memory is the same as well. So no changes here, but combined with the other aspects of my new laptop make it that much better.

Yay!!!! New Laptop ha ha. But I have the same problem about the Microsoft Word thing. And I still can't figure it out. So if u figure it out. Will you let me know.

Sounds like an Acer Aspire 5745 Model or something.

I actually have an Acer Aspire, and I love the hell out of this thing.

It's such a good computer and is surprisingly good for playing games.

billythekidmonster : There is not need to pity me. I did not know how much of a flop Vista would be, and even now I may never fully know because I don't do HD gaming like some people.

legacyme3 : big fat cat told me you have one. I did a quick search on Acer's website and it looks like model is the AS5733-6424. After typing everything up, I found the model number on a sticker posted right on my laptop. It is an AS5733-6607. And you're right, it is pretty good for playing games. With my old laptop I was running Need for Speed World on low graphics, and this was only when I put the power usage towards High Performance. With my new one, I can run the game on medium graphics, maybe more if I adjust the settings.

Ya. Though I never liked it as a OS in general. I think that the XP series was just a heckuva lot better and I still prefer it. Though I have yet to use 7 for anything and I have ran XP since I switched from vista in 05.
