I say NFS-C, because its the most upto date game I have played.

I liked the car modding methods were pretty good. Especially the way you can mould each individual part.

Most Wanted had the best chase music of all the NFS's I've played. Also, the whole feeling of the game was really excellent. Carbon doesn't give me that feeling. =(

Hydro Thunder On a serious note I think NFS High Stakes was ok but Test Drive 4 was my favorite as far as PS1. Haven't tried any other ones I don't think.

I voted for NFS - Underground !

For the simple reason :

1. It has the best Soundtrack in my opinion ( besides Underground 2 )

2. It was the one which gave the ideas for all the other ones afterwards, because i think every other title after NFS - Underground wasn't so different than exactly that one !

Besides NFS - Underground i love all old NFS titles where you can play in the cockpit view !

Regardless, Need for Speed Most Wanted is by far my favorite Need for Speed game. Just the fact of how much better it was than its predecessors is the first HUGE reason why this one is my favorite... Also, it went away from the "omg look I'm a little rice burner tee hee" and let you drive some real American muscle (New Mustang GT especially), some foreign supercars (Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes SLR McLaren), as well as some good tuner cars (98 Supra, Subaru Impreza WRX STi) instead of a lot of common ricers (Seems like the trend was Civic, Corolla, VW Golf, repeat. ugh)

Also, climbing the Black List was a good achievement, it actually gave the player something to work toward rather than just telling them to complete these hundreds of races.

Lastly, the police chases were great (but got old quickly)
