I know there are already threads for control problems, but after looking through a few pages of threads no user seems to be having the same issue that i am having.
When I double click the game screen to bring up the menu for controls, it scrolls down automatically from top to bottom replacing every single control with the term Xfer
The controls that are pre-set work, but I like to customize them because the preset ones are always really awkwardly placed. I know that this isn't a very pressing issue, since i can still use the pre-set controls, but I'm worried that if I don't fix it, it could escalate into something serious. 
Is this a virus or simply a glitch?
I'm using google chrome as a browser, just for additional detail incase that helps. And everything worked perfectly on this game when I played last night, I had changed the controls yesterday to ones that I prefer and it saved. I know it saved the preset controls because when i exed out of the game so that I could go out, and I brought the game back up when I came home, the controls were still the same. It just started acting up after the website was down today.
Any suggestions?

Can you tell us which system you're using? And if you're using Java or the RGR Plugin?

I'm pretty sure it's not a virus at all, probably just a bug or something with the site.

What do you mean by system? And I have both java and the plug in, but I'm pretty certain that it is running on the plug in.

By system I mean is it for the N64, SNES, etc.?

Someone70 : Didn't want to make a whole new thread in case it wasn't necessary, but I have a similar problem with changing controls. My issue is that I recently acquired an Xbox 360 controller to play Sonic Generations and also decided to use it on this site. I've only tried it with Genesis games in the Plug-in so far, but when I play with the controller by double clicking the menu and using "pad" instead of keyboard, I cannot change the option back. More specifically, it came up as 'pad' automatically, but even when the 360 controller isn't plugged in, "pad" is the only option and I cannot use it to re-select any keyboard controls at all. So is this a glitch? Or is it meant to be that once a controller is preferred, you can no longer play the game with a keyboard? I know it's a weird point to make, but I just got so used to the keyboard for these games, I prefer it to the controller for some games. Thanks!

tRIUNE : Do you think that could permanently fix it? Or would I have to re-install the Plugin every time I wanted to switch back to keyboard controls from a gamepad? Just curious. I'll see if that works later

I have not seen someone encounter an issue in which uninstalling and re-installing would only work the first time you use it. If it works, you shouldn't have to constantly do it.
